Rita is a great and caring host! She got up for us at 5am in the morning to prepare a marvelous breakfast! The rooms are very clean and comfy! Would recommend it! It's just a very good and relaxing atmosphere. 

Best Pousada in Lencois

Where to start? The breakfast is delicious, including homemade cakes and juices. Rita is very welcoming and an amazing host, making sure you're feeling just like home.
When I'm back in Lençóis I won't look elsewhere for a room - Pousada da Rita is the place to stay.

Rita's place is amazing. The owner(Rita) is so welcoming. She doesn't speak English at all, but as non-Portuguese speakers neither, we managed to understand each other. The breakfasr is more than substantial with fresh fruits, juices and cakes! Her son is a patented guide in Chapada Diamantina. Rita will make you feel at home, in her place!

You will feel what the country side of Bahia is really about. 
Been here in 2002 and 2011. 
Rita has a sincere smile all the time in her face and the purest vibe.

Excellent, friendly and awesome food!

My friend and I stayed at Pousada da Rita for four days in July while booking tours with Brasilien Adventures. 

We both had an incredible time! The house was always very neat and clean. Our rooms were well taken care of and the location was completely safe. The bathrooms and towels were prepared and ready for use from the moment we arrived. The Pousada was a block away from the main area, and there is no need for a car from here.

Rita and her staff made sure we had breakfast early in the morning, with delicious local fruit and foods. If we had any questions about the area she was always more than happy to offer excellent suggestions. 

We did notice some small ants around the house, but those type of things are hard to avoid in Chapada. We never saw much of any other insects or pests while staying at Rita's. 

Rita is a wonderful person to meet and practice Portuguese with. She was very friendly and her family were all very sweet and attentive to our many questions. When I go back, I will stay at Rita's again!

Home away from home

Excellent place to stay, very clean, great breakfast. The female owner is very friendly and secure off street parking. WiFi and only 100 m walk to the main restaurant and entertainment area. Would recommend to couples.

After staying at the HI Hostel across the street where I would pay 65 Reais to share with 3 other stinky people in a tiny room I decided to to explore other options. For the same price more or less I arrived at the Pousada of Rita. I got a huge single room for myself and excellent breakfast was included. It was very quiet in the pousada so at night you can sleep very good. Rita and the staff were very friendly. The only thing that could improve is the WiFi connection but that seems to be a national issue. I definitely recommend staying here.
