I fell in love in Paraty. This wonderful accommodation added to what was my favourite part of my time spent in Brasil. The view is simply mesmerising. The host is second to none. The breakfast was delicuous. A wonderfully peaceful place to stay. Utter paradise. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories. 

Paradise Encapsulated 

We were on vacation in January 2017 with my husband and our little daughter, who was 4 at the time.

This hotel (cottage) is on the top of mountains about 7-8 Km from downtown Paraty, and a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Rio. The view is spectacular with the mountains and bay from the balcony and bedroom. 

The owner Luca is very helpful along with the maid who cleans the cottage every day. The breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit, cake, fresh bread, coffee etc. 

Historical district of Paraty is a short bus ride of Taxi ride away. The only thing is that there are a lot of mosquitoes at night so make sure you carry bug spray during your stay.

Beautiful cottage on the top of mountains with amazing view of Paraty

We have just finished a wonderful scape from São Paulo to spend a weekend in Paraty. Luca is a great human host and Tatto is literally a big canine host (he is a Terranova). Our Lili (mix Labrador) fell in love with him! The chalet has the complete infrastructure (e.g. kitchen) so that you don’t have to always go to the city. The view... wow.. breathtaking view from the entire bay! We will certainly come back! Ciao!!!

Home away from home with our complete 4-legged family!

I could not recommend this place enough - it is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Rio. The view is simple spectacular and amazing to wake up to every morning. The breakfast is delicious, huge and different every morning - fresh fruit, cake, fresh bread, coffee etc. 

There is a beautiful beach in the nearby town of Praia grande which is about 10 mins walking away. Paraty is a short bus ride of Taxi ride away. The apartment itself has a well stocked kitchen, big fans to keep you cool at night, a huge living area with a hammock to take in the panoramic views. 

Luca and his team were amazing - he personally welcomed us and gave us great tips for the area. He also organised a taxi to take us to our bus. The staff were very friendly and our room was cleaned every day. 

Thank you Luca - we wish we could have stayed longer! 

Amazing jungle paradise 

It's the first time that the photos don't give you an idea of how beautiful this place is. Incredible!!! immersed in the green with a breathtaking view of the sea. Chalés well furnished and carefully detailed, excellent reception and more abundant and delicious breakfast served in your chalet....what more do you want if you want to unwind and relax... congratulations to nice and kind Luca host of the Pousada. Thanks from the whole family.

We stayed at Croce Del Sud for four nights whilst visiting our son who is working in Rio. It was a great place to go to escape the City, and Luca, the owner, was very flexible about accomodating our son with us at short notice when he got time off. We did not have a car during our stay, so relied on taxis and the buses to and from Paraty, which worked fine and was not expensive. The walk back up from Praia Grande village and beach is a challenge- about 20 minutes uphill- but a good way to work off gorgeous food eaten in the beach restaurants. The accommodation was comfortable, well equipped and very good value as we got an off season deal. Luca was a charming host, and the staff who work for him were delightful- including their son who welcomed us! Luca speaks English but the staff do not, so some Portugese can come in handy. The breakfasts were a real highlight, varied and fresh every day, and you can eat them in private with the best view imaginable. The beach at Praia Grande is a 5 minute walk on a nice trail from where the boats are, and is a beautiful, secluded and quiet beach. We loved Paraty for the trips and facilities, but would really recommend staying here for more tranquillity and peace.

Beautiful place and geat hospitality

Precious apartments!! With wonderful views. Luca's best attention, he worked very hard to make our stay pleasant. The very good and very abundant breakfasts, impeccably presented, with tremendous hygiene, homemade food and everything, changed every day. Luca is a great conversationalist, very instructive and kind. A very recommended place to spend a few wonderful days and explore the surroundings, which are paradise, beaches, villages, etc. Restaurants to eat well and great beach bars.

An invaluable sight, as well, as the attention of Luca, excellent host! the breakfasts in abundance, and the excellent disposition of the domestic staff, very kind to all! We will surely return next year!!

A spectacular location and view, always kind and smiling staff, excellent and varied breakfast, immersed in the intense greenery of the Atlantic Forest, recommended for those looking for total relaxation, but also for families! very close to the best beach in Paraty!
