Clean, comfortable, good pillows, excellent breakfast. Lovely host! Although we only had Google translate conversations. 5 min walk to main bus station and 10 min to old town. We did not manage to get the hot water working in the shower. Suggestions for improvements: add a second bedside table so that both sides of the bed have one. Add bedside lamps.

Cozy B&B with a lovely host

I had a wonderful stay in this place with Jorge and Fatima. They were so warm and welcoming and the room was so nice and clean. It was great to be away from the tourist locations and get a taste of the real Paraty! I loved staying here, and recommend it to all! The breakfast was delicious and being immersed in Portuguese is great to help you learn! I was sad to leave...and was touched when given a parting gift! I hope to go back soon! 

Wonderful stay in Paraty

We had a great time at this small pousada. Keep in mind it's somebody's home - not a real hotel or party place. The owner is incredibly kind. While we were supposed to arrive late in the evening, we instead got there at 4 am. He opened the door with a smile and let us go straight to the room - check-in could wait until the next morning. The room was nice, big, with lots of windows. The bathroom was brand new, super clean, and a great shower. The next morning we were surprised by a very elaborate breakfast (ok, we might have been influenced by the fact that we just came from Argentina, where breakfasts are small) - fresh bread, fruit, granola, cheese, ham, coffee, juice etc. Indeed, the breakfast table is in their living room, and he might be working from behind his computer just next to you. Just see it as being at home :) The owner (sorry, I don't know his name :/) is very friendly and helpful. He directed us to a boat to take us around the islands for 30 R, which was cheaper than we found before. The boat had only 25 people on it (about a third of the other boats), a lounch deck and music (we weren't to charmed by the music but hey). He gives you a key so you can come and go whenever you want. It is located in a cute residential area just 5/10 minutes walking from the cobbled stone centre. Nice and quite. Would definitely recommend. Booking.com had a nice offer when we booked.
