The worst place I've ever been in my life, dirty, rats walk all over the place, the breakfast is heavy, the facilities smell bad and finally I was scammed in my good faith. Give a few dollars to an employee named Renato who was passing by the owner, so that I can change them, and I won't see more of my money.

A place not to go.

The room was a mixed room, the upper bed was too high, the room was air-conditioned, but it seemed a little small, and at night the area was poorly lit, giving the impression of being unsafe, and it was located above the end of the black deck.

HOSTEL NORMAL is the norm.

Hostel with small but clean rooms and bathrooms, also with safe deposit boxes. we had a problem with the air conditioner and they solved it by changing our room. They also do the daily cleaning! Breakfast in the standard for what you pay. Very attentive staff to the customers, good ones! Great location a few steps from the beach in a very quiet area. Let me suggest to check the settings of the air conditioner is not possible that they always go to the maximum.

The location is good, the breakfast would have to be improved to make it perfect. The staff was friendly, neither very friendly nor very friendly. As for the rooms: the seawater beds are VERY high, they were not 100% clean, the bathroom a disaster. Fortunately we met very crowded people and we were able to put a lot of fun in the place but it was only to stay one night and get ready.

Highlighting all the staff of the hostel, their advice and recommendations helped me greatly to enjoy Christmas. Good wave and super friendly. The breakfast rich and varied by being hostel. The location, excellent a few meters from the beach and del morro do careca.

An ideal place to meet people and enjoy the sea view.

Good location, but poor service, bad wifi signal, no bar, no toilet service, bad smell in the bathroom and bad service of the staff.

False advertising is misleading.

We booked a room for 2 people, they were kind enough to switch to a larger one than the original one, as we were going to stay 5 nights. Good care and kindness. What I think needs to be improved is the safety issue. Anyone can enter, as there are no safe doors to enter the hostel. They should be locked at night or put in adequate staff. The location is optimal, close to the beach, bars and shops. In short, everything is very good, relaxed and quiet.

Good location, clean and pleasant.

Che Lagarto is still a guarantee of quality. This hostel is once again proof of this. Even after staying at Porto de Galinhas which is a cran above, this one is quite convenient too. It is located 5 minutes from the beach. The staff is super organized (we left a group of 8 people in a secret place with one of the staff girls). The breakfast is very good and complete. The room is large, well equipped and above all clean.

This hostel chain is claim to be international and etc. but dont walk the talk.

First of all:
They made such a mess with my reservation... 
I reserved just for me in a shared room. Than my girlfriend had her holiday suddenly approved and explained them, that I could not forecast this happening and that I wanted to change the reservation for a private room, although I had a non-refundable reservation.

They said: alright, we'll make this happen. You have to CANCEL your prior reservation and we'll make a new one.

I said: ok, but it is a non-refundable reservation and I don't want to lose the already paid money. I want to pay just the difference.

They: Do that. It's alright.

Next day I received and email saying that I would have to pay the FULL price for the new reservation. I didnt agree and said: either I pay the difference or I'll go somewhere else. They: ok, our mistake.

When I arrived, I had a long discussion with the man at the reception. He had no idea of what me and the hostel made up previously per email. (Tired after comming from Europe and fully loaded I had to wait until it was clear to get to the room).

When it was clear, the man said: "Ok, but the person who did the mistake will pay the difference..." 
So I felt really uncomfortable with the situation and was thinking about that for the next days.

About the stay itself:

Although I wrote them when booking "please check the shower and the mattress, beacuse I've read bad reviews about it"... Guess what??? The shower was COLD and we had to shower in the front room.

In the first morning, people from the staff were talking so LOUD that we woke up around 6:00. I had to go out and complain. This happened, I guess, one more time during our stay. We coudn't relax and sleep well in this place.

The next day, one of the electric circuits (that feeds the shower) was down - TV and other were working...

And at some point we had no water for a while.

Few power outlets in the room.

Good points: location, breakfast, cleanness, general appearance.

I have a backpacking experience in 16 countries since 2010 and I woudnt recommend this place.

This place could be a great hostel, but they prefer to sell the appearance instead of doing a great job.
