Meet this restaurant by taking a friendly family for a walk and get to know the Museo Palacio Imperial, just around the corner, when we finished the visit we ended up finding this place that is a hotel but has a few tables that function as a restaurant. Without much expectation we went straight to some cold beers and to accompany some traditional bacalinhos de bacalhau... A delicacy, and a surprise. The place with a strong Portuguese accent, we conquered and left for a bacalhau da casa suggested by the young man.

The location is really good and it´s on a walking distance of everything. We did not use our car there at all. Besides of being a hotel it´s also a restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner can be done. Breakfast was included in the rate and good shower.
Our room was on a BAD location. It was room 111 and it´s the first room on the lower floor right across the kitchen and it´s also a passage to other rooms. Restaurant run until 10pm so we could hear the plates and pans banging all the time - I did complain! Also in the room besides a few mosquitoes we had a lot of fruit flies (Drosophila). The bathroom with good shower but TOO narrow! Parking is on a narrow alley which means cars need to be removed from spot and relocated.
Suggestion: as said, breakfast was included in the room rate, but besides lunch they also have a soup service at night for a GOOD price. If they have offered us this option on our arrival would have been great.

Suggestion: Better look around for a better choice.

Usually I prefer small private hotels and B&Fs, but when I stay at a small hotel I expect better service than from large chains that charge the same. Here, clearly that wasn't the case.

The only good thing is location

This old hotel preserves a certain charm and is reasonably managed.  Compared to other hotels in the city, it is only slightly overpriced. Don't expect something exceptional. Breakfast is comprehensive, location behind the cathedral is an advantage.
