I was just coming from MG and I was tired and I was looking for a place to sleep with my husband. The place is nice! If you're looking for a place just to sleep because the Wi-Fi is too weak, the TV doesn't work properly because of that, the signal from the cell phone (4G) mainly from Claro is bad. There's no breakfast, but very close to the square there's a bakery where you can have a coffee with bread. Outside of that, it's a place where you can sleep peacefully.

A place to sleep

It's not a guest house, but it's a comfortable house and it's very far from the center of Petropolis, if you're without a car forget it. The entrance is not accessible because there are many stairs. The room was for four people and very small, the hosts were very nice. It was very nice because we only stayed one night. More than that would be uncomfortable.

The breakfast is excellent, we highly recommend it. The egg mixture made on time is great, don't forget to ask. The host is very friendly and solicitous. He helped us as much as he could, and he was available to serve us at all times. Cable TV serves well, and there are several channels available. There are shops nearby within an eight-minute walk. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The structure of the house is beautiful. The location is a little far from downtown. It's 15 minutes by car. We also used Uber, and the price was around $15 for the Gastronomic pole and Tereza Street, and $18 for the city center. The rooms are not air conditioned, but the weather helps. Don't worry.

Hit and run

It's not a hostel! It's an adapted house. I stayed in the downstairs room, the bathroom was just mold, walls, door... no window. The smell was unbearable and we all had allergies. Bed linen and towels also smelled bad. The room is so moist that the mattress and the floor looked wet! The access is horrible... if you go with big bags, forget... 3 narrow steps... the breakfast was good, but it took a while to be served. Because it was Christmas the price was abusive. I stayed only one night, thank God!!

I went on a quick visit for just one night because I had a wedding. As the name suggests, it's a pretty simple hostel, just for sleeping but could be a little bit better taken care of the bathroom, especially.

Quick visit

This hostel is slightly out of town with great views and hiking yet only five minutes from town by bus. It is much more upmarket than it's Rio counterpart and is quiet, friendly and has great breakfasts
