I booked for 2 nights a double room, superior with A/C  , WI FI AND THE NORMAL FACILITIES.
WHEN I ARRIVED, THERE WAS NO A/C,NO WI FI, and even,  no electric light, as if we werein the midle age, THEY DID NOT GIVE ME, EVEN  A MISERABLE CANDLE !!
And what is more, the window did not have a glass, it was a simple hole in the wall.
When i comoplained for having payed for a c, wi fi and electric light, and not to.have received that, the owner refused to offer any compensation, not even a mug of tea.
It s a nasty, awful.place and i recomend to avoid it.

Horrible, impresentable

The hostel is located near everything...Copacabana, Ipanema...the train station is close by to get anywhere. There are several food options close by too. You can walk to the beach. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious.The owner and his wife are extra friendly, helping us out with directions, and giving us suggestions on what to see based on the weather. (Note: don't try to see Mount Corcovado when it's cloudy or raining. Waste of a trip) I definitely do recommend this cute place to stay if you are on a limited budget but don't want to forfeit cleanliness or convenience. You want regret it!

It is in a convenient location!

The place is very well located in the middle of Copacabana neighborhood, close of the beach of Copacabana, two blocks of a subway station and around there are many options of buses to different areas of the city. It made easy to go to different places of the city and even cheap to use taxi.
The hostel is very clean and with good security system. 
The staff is very hospitable, friendly, honest and speak multiple languages (English, Spanish and French). 
Also they have offers of crepes and soups some days of the week for very reasonable price. The meals are very well presented and tasteful, worth to try. I could have a proper 'carioca' experience.

Great location and very friendly staff

The hostel is located in Copacabana and offers most hostel travellers what they need. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and offers variety, and the staff are very friendly too. What helps is that this hostel is run by locals and they speak multiple languages, which can be a bit rare in Rio. Helpful to provide tips on what to do in the city was great too.
Overall id recommend this place as a good option for people who are looking for an affordable clean hostel with great honest staff.
