A very pleasant, comfortable place, far enough away from the noise and close to the attractions of the city. Undoubtedly, the best is the attention of its own owner, Aristides, who at all times provided us with information and assistance. We traveled in a group of 10 people and were able to have a room for ourselves. Very good cleaning and breakfast service. Independence to use the kitchen and other facilities. Another important thing is that we were able to leave the parked vehicles safely.

I had an amazing time in this hostel. The staff and owners were wonderful, friendly and helpful people. The hostel feels more like a home with lots of friends visiting. It's nice, clean, very organized and a save place.It is in a nice neighborhood in Rio and the atmosphere of this hostel is so relaxed. Beside of this, they serve a great breakfast.I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

" Amazing Hostel"

Booked this hostel last minute as decided to travel from Sao Paulo to Rio. As it was during the world cup i wasn't expecting much accomadation to be available. However Hostel Tree House was and was very reasonably priced and so i went ahead and booked and i am glad i did.

Upon arrival was greeted by two of the cleaners (i think i have no Portuguese and they have no English) and after a little confusion were shown to our room. The room consisted of a double bed and a set of bunkbeds with a shower room next door. All very clean. The matresses were not the best quality but linen and towels were provide and i wasn't expecting 5 star luxury at the price i had paid.

Later on in the evening the owner Martins turned up. Again he has no English and i still have no Portuguese. However he is an extremely friendly guy and doesn't let the language barrier deter him in trying to make his guest feel at home. This extended to him making me scrambled eggs both mornings and calling me from my room when the local Toucan landed in the tree next to the hostel.

The breakfast provided each morning consisted of bread and rolls along with cheese, ham, fruit juices and coffee. There is also a full kitchen which i assume guest are able to use if they wish.

There is off street parking available but in total there is probably only room for 4 cars so i would check to make sure there will be space before you arrive. As mentioned in previous views the road up to the hostel is very steep but at the hostel there are excellent views across the forrest and plenty of bird life to see. The location is slightly ourside Rio and i don't know how easy it would be to get back into the centre without a car, but for us it was not a problem

Best Hostel I Have Ever Stayed In

It is located in Barra da Tijuca, it is recommended to go by car, because it is located very high. The hostel is very clean, good quality of sleep, beautiful view, good breakfast, you can cook. To us they cook a spectacular fellowship! So thankful and happy to have chosen such a beautiful place.

LEJOS PERO as at home.

I went there with a couple of friends o surf in Rio. The location for it is great, near by some of the best spots for surfing. The Hostel is clean, comfortable and the owners are super cool! Great breakfast as well. And great Acai near by to recharge the batery. I strongly recommend the Hostel! The swiming pool is great and we got to make some bbq in the bbq area! great structure for it! by far one of the best hostel i have ever visited!

Great Spot

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostel Tree House. The place is very charming and in a great location. The owners run the hostel and are super friendly and helpful. They help with transportation to the beach or other places. Breakfast is delicious and the pool area is very nice.
