I stayed in Hoshtel for 3 nights in December 2019. The staff were always lovely and helpful to deal with. The double en-suite room I booked was clean and comfortable, and the bed was made every day. The only downside is that the room was on the bottom floor near reception and where they served breakfast which meant there was a bit of noise at times but not too much. I felt very secure in the area it was located. This isn’t a party hostel but I did manage to meet some other travellers who wanted to hang out which was nice. I would stay here again.

A cosy hostel that has a b&b feel to it

Very modern and clean, better than the hotel I stayed on Copocabana beach! Breakfast was perfect and decent coffee! Ideal for couples or the solo traveler that wants their own space! Amazing location and safe neighborhood.


Amazing hostel 

I booked a few nights here on my way back through Rio. 

Firstly - staff are amazing. On check in I was greeted really well and shown to my room. The hostel is super clean and modern. The host working on reception later took us out after their shift and showed a few of us the area. 

The rooms were really clean, comfortable and had everything you could want. The only thing stopping 5 stars was the AC wasn’t working in our room. 

Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Breakfast was solid and really good. Location is top. 

Highly recommend it. 

The best hostel you’ll ever stay in

Amazing! Able to accommodate every need. Put up with my crazy tourist questions, & trying to fit in everything in such a short time. Breakfast is great!! Particularly for a hostel. They are even able to provide breakfast if you have to checkout before breakfast starts in the morning. They supply soap & shampoo & etc for private rooms at least. Quiet, & in an amazing location!! You couldn’t get any better, it is smack bang between Copacabana beach & Ipanema beach, & close to transport! All the staff are so friendly & helpful. Would highly recommend. Cleaners tend to the rooms everyday & the place is spotless & brand new. More like a friendly hotel than a hostel. Just would have really loved a bar & pool on premises, although I understand there is definitely no room for that. I am honestly really impressed. Keep up the good work.

Such great customer service 

The hoshtel is located in the best location in Rio, right in between ipanema and Copacabana and a few metres from a metro station.   
It has comfortable beds and lockers in the rooms, good bathrooms and plenty of them.  The breakfast is really nice, Brazilian fruits and juices, selection of breads for example.  It also has a nice sitting area and a small area outside.  Very clean throughout the establishment. 

However, what really makes this the great hostel it is is the amazing staff they have.  Each and every one of them is really great and thanks to them my time in Rio was even better than it would have been.

Best hostel I've stayed in

hostel is in a excellent part between copacabana and ipanema, not far to every beach. hostel is nearly new built, everything is fine and clean! 
just one point we could not agree, it's not allowed to cook in the kitchen, just the microwave is for cooking, but there lot's of good restaurants in the near so it doesn't matter. 

perfect location and nice hostel! 

This is the best hostel I have stayed in in seven months of travelling. The beds are so comfy and the water pressure in the shower is amazing. The staff are friendly and the location couldn't be better - 5 minutes to Copacabana beach, under 10 minutes to Ipanema beach and 1 minute to the metro station. The only downside was there was nothing special for Christmas and it was very quiet - only two of people in my dorm room for 8. The breakfast is really good with a large selection of fresh food and fruit juice.
