It's a great place to stay with pros and cons, like any other place. It'll depend on what's important for you.
The inn is brand new and located about 10 minutes from the city downtown, on a very quiet place with a great view of the mountains. Depending of the weather you'll have amazing views on  sunrise and sunset. For sports, it's well located for running and cycling as you'll be able to find several routes for each sport nearby and with different distances. For other sports like climbing and trail, the city is not that big. 
On hot days you'll be able to use the beautiful pool.
There are only 6 cottages and they are big and comfortable but I would say it's more appropriate for couples, specially because the showers have no brick walls just on the side of the jacuzzi. If you need some "privacy" this may be an issue. 
Your breakfast is served in the room, and this increase your privacy feeling. For other meals you can go to the city at night or ask a delivery from a few restaurants nearby. For weekend lunch I recommend the "Lá na Roça" restaurant which is located near the inn (not at a walking distance) and is also the #1 for restaurants in the region.
If you like privacy and to explore the region, it's a safe choice to stay.

Nice Inn on an Amazing Place

This wonderful Inn is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Clean, modern, luxurious, with amazing views! My family & I stayed in March 2106 and enjoyed the scenery, and the food. Breakfast is served in the room, which has a porch overlooking the valley. We have traveled all over Europe, and this far superior! Can't wait to return

Beautiful Mountain INN

What a totally magical stay at this amazing Pousada in the heart of the Mantequeira Mountains.  The chalet was so comfortable with a view to die for across the hills.  The only sound was the variety of birds singing from dawn to dusk.  The jacuzzi in the chalet was an added luxury which we loved.  Breakfast brought to our chalet was a real treat.  Debora and Wesley were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.  So welcoming and charming in every way - we will definitely be returning when we next come to Brasil.  They deserve every success in the future.

Luxury in the mountains

Located 3 miles from SBS downtown, this family owned small inn is surprising. An astonishing view and in room breakfast are part of the package. 
Wesley and Deborah usually welcome guests in their dining table, with hot coffee and a home made cake. Ask anything about SBS, they  will provide you valuable information about what to do during your stay - but we spent most of our time inside the hot tub in our room, drinking good wine and admiring the view... take your own wine and appetisers (cheese, breads...) or ask Wesley for some help ...

Surprising

My girlfriend took me to Pousada Caminho da Mata in Sao Bento do Sapucai in October 2012. I can't express in words how much I loved this place. The owners welcomed me with open arms. They are a lot of fun, sweet and caring. Ask Deborah to make you a caipirinha. The national drink of Brasil. I tried the best Cacacha of my life at the Pousada. It was an artisinal cachaca from a small town near Sao Bento called Goncalves. The owners noticed that I liked it and they sent someone to go buy me 2 bottles! It was the best souvenir from my trip to Brasil.
 
When you are there you MUST try Wesley's CHURRASCO! (BBQ). I traveled all over the state of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Rio, and Wesley's barbecue was the best that I had in Brasil and in my life! He grilled top quality "Picanha" (Sirloin) with butter and salt, Linguica de Porco (Pork Sausage), and chicken hearts (Miguel's favorite). All served with cold beer overlooking the most amazing view in Brasil. 

We also did other unforgettable activities like attend a "Festa do Chop" (Beer Festival), Restaurante de Pedra do Bau (delicious!) and swimming in a nearby waterfall. 
 
I bonded with everyone at the Pousada and I will never forget the people I met there for as long as I live. I cannot wait for the day I return. I hope I will be so lucky.
