Stayed with my wife for 4 nights and had an amazing experience. We went to the many available hikes nearby during the early morning, and stayed at the hotel during afternoons and evenings at the pool, drinking at the café, dining at the restaurant, or just chilling by the fireplace.
The hotel facilities are great for families.
The restaurant is amazing, and perhaps the best in town. We had breakfast and dinner every day, and we loved it. A rich selection of dishes that you can choose from during the stay that were a delight before going to bed.
We unfortunately had a problem with our vehicle, and the hotel manager was very eager into helping us solve it, going the extra mile.
Hope to come back in the future, maybe with kids next time.

Best hotel in São Bento do Sapucaí

Great option close from São Paulo for families with kids and pets who enjoy spending some time close to the nature.
The pousada offers nice accommodation rooms if you enjoy bringing your pet with you. The restaurant of the pousada is also a nice option.

Great option for a weekend scape

We just spend the 2nd week of July 2019 at this Resort.
For children, the resort couldn't be better with terrific monitors.
The rooms are charming with fireplaces and the bathrooms have wonderful hot showers.
The maid service and hotel service is also impeccable.
The only problem is that there is no heating in any of the rooms, bathrooms or even in the dining room..and we had freezing temperatures the week we were there.
As much as I adored the hotel, and this is my second time and my daughter's fourth, I will think twice about going there again in winter.
All in all, the Quilombo resort is a gem and a very worthwhile place to spend time at a retreat.

Wonderful place to have a family vacation

We stayed for two nights in March 2018 and loved the beautiful hilltop setting with gorgeous views of the hills and city below.  There were many amenities for families and children such as ping pong, pool table, pool, tennis court, hot tub, and a nice trail near the summit that provides a nice way to walk to town (about 2 km).  One of the receptionists spoke English well, and was very helpful, including to call for us a great bilingual guide to help us climb the nearby Bau mountain ridge.  Our toasted trout and pasta dinner in their gorgeous restaurant overlooking the valley was first rate.   The room was simple and bungalow like, but cozy.  A nice, restful, tasteful, and just special place.

Lovely hilltop resort with many intangibles and delicious food

I stayed at Pousada do Quilombo in July. Rooms are charming, the fireplace works beautifully. Breakfast was very good, but could use a couple more warm options (pancakes, waffles, etc)
Special thanks to Juliana and Danilo, in charge of the kids club: they were absolutely great, my son loved it!

Great Place

I had a wonderful 4 day retreat here. I wish I had stayed longer because of all of the amenities and nearby attractions such as Pedra do Baú. I loved the restaurant and the staff. The chef was very helpful and worked with my dietary restrictions to modify menu items so I could enjoy them. I definitely recommend this resort and I can't wait to go back.
The owner Martin,  and restaurant co-owner/ head chef Antonio, are very friendly and interact with the guests. Martin is multilingual, speaking (besides Portuguese) English and German.

Relaxing retreat situated in a natural setting

We really like Pousada do Quilombo. Its great both for couples and family alike. Its the best place in town in my opinion. Rooms are great. Ask for the Villas which are very nice. They have their own tour office there which organizes hiking, climbing, waterfalls, horse back riding, etc.
