There isn't much to do in Sao Luis, but if you're making a stop over, this is a good hostel. It's a short bus ride to the city center and a 30 minute walk to the beach. Beds were comfortable and the rooms are well ventelated. Bathrooms were clean and had good water in the shower. Breakfast is light but also good. Staff was super friendly and fun to interact with and made my time enjoyable.

A solid stay in Sao Luis

Really good good hostel.  Everything that I was needed was nearby.  Shopping mall,  beach and etc. 
About hostel, its clean,  friendly,  with free WiFi, with included breakfast.  I was enjoyed 100%. I recommend it for everyone :)

Best hostel in Sao Luis

Awesome hostel. Great , friendly people are working there. Room was clean with really comfortable bed, it's important especially after long way. breakfast also was good. i really recommend that hostel in Sao Luis. Trust me, its the best one in that city

Awesome hostel

Its everything a hostel is suppose to be, it has a very nice kitchen, good and clean bathrooms/rooms, a nice backyard with a swiming pool, its probably located in the best and most safe place in são luis and laércio(the owner) is a hell of a guy, i felt like home the minute i steped in his house and i heard that some guests are completely in love with him.

Tijuana Hostel is a place I would definitely recommend. Why?

1- The location is good (5-10 minutes by bus to the historical center)
2- Wifi for free
2- Breakfast included
4- 40 reais a bed in the dorm
5- Communal areas
5- Hammocks 
6- A small swimming pool (though Im not a big fun of pools)
7- Kitchen for guests
8-Clean
9- Safe
10- Close to Tropical Mall (supermarket, $$ exchange, etc)
11- Friendly staff
12- Nice atmosphere. Guests interact with each others.

On the downside I would mention that bathrooms may not be enough in case the hostel is full, it doesn't have lockers and breakfast isn't exactly poor but it could be better. But this wouldn't be for me an obstacle to come back. If I visit Sao Luis again definitely I would go there again. Laercio the owner is very nice and helpful.
