Pousada Origami is one of the best place I have visited. From the beginning to the end this place exceeds any expectation.

The "Pousada" location is easily accessable and is few feet from the beatfull beach. You can reach by foot few good restaurants in "Porto da Rua" just crossing a small delta. No worries about coming bak later night, just watch out the tide.

The cleaness of the place is remarcable, Every single corner is well mantained, the rooms are organized, alot of privice, and bathrooms clean and cozy.

The staff is cordial and very well trained, the provide high level of service, with smile and discreption.

Defenetely, it is a must go place to visit. You won't to leave the place.

We visited pousada for a dinner... Simply delicious, well presented, amazing staff and great atmosphere. Yummy local cuisine with some international flavours. Highly recommend if you are staying in the area or just passing by.

Wonderful quiet place! If you are looking for a place to be with nature and rest, this is the location! Pousada Origami has only a few separated bungalows, the owner is of Japanese descent the service is personalised, it could not be an better! The beach is very clean, the beach is calm, I really enjoyed walking along the beach everyday. As this time of the year it is off season, many times I was the only one at the whole beach! One of the most peaceful places of earth.

LOVED IT!

I can only say Origami is by far the best choice in Sao Miguel dos Milagres! From the moment you walk in until you leave the experience is awesome! 
Infra: rooms are clean, TV, A/C, DVD and frigobar are available! The shower is surrounded by glass walls facing the outside (no one can you see you though haha) the cleaning lady makes sure to have your room nice and tidy while you're out having breakfast!

Food: the best fish and shrimp I've ever tasted in my life!! I don't know how they do it but it's definitely something!

Service: all employees are very nice, polite and thoughtful!! My wife said she would pick lunch as it was her birthday, and for our surprise the hotel prepared her a birthday cake at night! 
Everybody in Origami does their best to serve you in the best possible way! 

Well, I highly recommend this place! I can ensure you won't be disappointed!

Best choice ever!!!

We spent 8 days at Pousada Origami over New Year 2015 and were really sad we needed to leave. We had the Chalé hidro, a spacey bungalow with a nice porch to the garden and a wonderful bathroom that opens to a little garden, just a minute from the beach. We were warmly greeted by Marcos and Gal, the owners of the pousada who made us immediately feel welcome. As we got to meet the excellent and dedicated staff of this little paradise one by one during our stay, we felt more and more at home: Brabo, Manuela and Leo, who graciously took care of all our wishes, Cícera and Vilma, the wonderful cooks, Maria who kept the rooms neat, Galego the gardner, and all the others. They made our stay really special and unforgettable! 
The pousada has a very cozy common area where all meals are served, a beautiful garden with lots of trees, plants and flowers, with a path leading towards the beach. We liked its concept of offering a tranquil, warm and clean space to relax, eat and meet the few other guests, with nice, unpretentious decoration beautifully combining brazilian and japanese elements (owners' backgrounds), no superfluous infrastructure, well selected brazilian music on the background, and that oh so wonderful service. We had half pension scheme and initially had planned to go try out other restaurants in the area, but finally had all our meals at the pousada, because they were delicious, freshly prepared from scratch with local ingredients, and the ambiance at the pousada was so wonderful. 
The beach, Praia do Toque, is still relatively quiet and untouched by big tourism, offers broad strips of white sand at low tide, with warm water at knee height where one can walk to areas of reefs with little fish, and further away beautiful pools (piscinas) good for snorkeling, that can be reached by jangadas. Little pleasures that we tasted every day without hurry, a perfect place to relax, walk or ride a bike along the 12 km of beach, and forget about time... 
At New Year's Eve, the staff had organized a delicious dinner, and later we all gathered at the beach around a bonfire, with a glass of champagne and that big, white moon... Very romantic and magic...
