The staff are friendly although the response to our request to change room was "we can't do anything about noise from outside". Well I disagree, the window having an open gap to the outside means every step or conversation is like being in the room.
There is an insect net to the part of the window that meets the inadequate glass panels but insects can easily crawl into the bedroom window which is right above the bed.
Parking is only available subject to other customers, there are clearly not enough and we had to park on the road.
We were told at checkin that if we came back late, we would need to unlock the doors ourselves, however, they ask for the key when you leave so they can tidy the room, so if you are out in a day trip and return late, you not only have to leave the car outside but may well be locked out yourself.
We went to an island day trip and returned at 11:30pm so just got back in time which added pressure to what was a relaxing day.
Internet is very weak and intermittent although that is Trus for most of Brazil.
We had a power cut one morning which again is frequent for Brazil however they managed to get breakfast organised despite this.

Noisy & open gaps in window to the road

Irashai was a fair option in comparison to other expensive/closer to the beach hotels in the fancy and expensive Juquehy beach. The rooms are not very big, but for a couple that wanted to just relax and enjoy the city and the beach during a weekend, it attended quite well. Positives: everything is very clean, the common areas are very pleasant/quiet environment and the breakfast was fresh/delicious. Negatives: rooms with window to the street, a bit noisy (not very good acoustic isolation in room windows). 
Very attentive service at the reception desk :)
