This is a family favorite.  My husband’s family (and now ours) has been going here for generations.  My children loved it when they were small, and today they would still probably drop everything and go for a weekend with us.  The food is delicious, the beds are comfortable, but the best part is the hotels special programming for kids and adults.  

Radio Hotel - Serra Negra experience

The building is quite old but well maintained. We got a very big room, very comfortable and well cleaned. There was a traditional party (festa junina) in the wekeend that we spent, which was really good. The food is perfect, both the breakfast and the dinner. The location is in the heart of the city, so we don't need to get the car to shop or eat. There's a forest inside the hotel with a big area with some activities. There are monitors to take care of the children. My son enjoyed stay with them and other kids.~;;;

Very good place to stay

It is a very old building and some of the rooms seem to require some improvement. However, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is really good. Also, is it located and the main street of the city, with easy access to restaurants and stores.

Old building, but very well located.

I have stayed at this hotel several times with my family, first when I was a kid with my parents, about 2, 3 times and last year with my parents but also husband and two children.
The hotel is old, but keep the good atmosphere. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the main shopping street of this little town. Many stores on the right and left. But the way the hotel is designed you don't feel you are downtown. The hotel has monitors with activities for the kids all day and some activities in the evening. This last time we spend a weekend, it was a 50 year celebration of my father's graduation, so many of his friends were there with their families. Service is nice, and food delicious. Gym is good ( not old),  there is a big swimming pool, we did not use because it was winter this time. The fireplace was on both evenings. They could have a meeting room to show a video of the previous gatherings they had. I would say this hotel is a classic in the region, I am from this touristic region, from a nearby town.

Very good traditional/old 5 star hotel

First impression that I had when I arrived in the hotel was that it appeared quite old but the very friendly staff compensate all the other things, ok, it is a very small city.
The location is very close to city downtown, nearby plenty of stores and restaurants. 
The room was ok, plenty of space and very clean too. 
Wi-Fi connection was free but sometimes I've experienced some instability and slowness. 
In the overall, I would recommend this hotel, also would come back one day.
