On the level of staying to get to know the city and spending little time at the hotel, it's a good choice. It has a good location on one of the busy avenues of Sierra Negra. On the level of accommodation, there are fields for improvement, but the cleanliness is visible which is a good sign. Breakfast is excellent and runs until 12:30 on weekends.

Great cost benefit

It's the fourth time I've stayed at the hotel and since the last time I haven't had a good impression. I've just been to the carnival and they left a lot to be desired, poor reception attendance, every time we passed at the reception there was some guest complaining about something, the garage full of mold, dragging down the show pipes and leaking onto the cars. The rooms with the lights missing, the TV not working, the bed linen, the torn towels and the edredons torn, the mattress and the wavy pillows, it seems like they haven't been changed for about 15 years. Carpets, doors and wooden pillows are all rotting, I don't have any maintenance. I didn't have the conditions to receive guests. I didn't go to rest and I know that it's a hotel benefit, but I don't recommend anyone to take care of my guests, and I don't recommend that anyone else have to take care of my money.

The location of the hotel is very good, you can walk to the center without any difficulties. We stayed in room 101, a double room with a single bed and three single beds. The bathroom is in the part where the single beds are. As soon as we arrived, we felt a strong smell of sewage coming from the shower. We went out and left everything open, but it didn't work. Something that has to be fixed as quickly as possible because that's what ruined our experience.

Costs and benefits

CRITICS 1 elevator with problems and out of operation (I was on the top floor) 2 bathroom clothes smelling of mold 3 fire stairs in poor condition and full of furniture. With the elevator unused, it was terrible to go through there (and I was on the top floor!) 4 small, tight, horrible garage to maneuver with few spaces (only 14 then, use is rotational) 5 has no air conditioning on the 4th floor (601), only ceiling fan, some of the windows do not open, 4th was a furnace 6 only has 5 TVs 7 does not have cable TV 8 the hotel to go through a refurbishment and modernization.

Urgent need for reform and modernisation

Simple hotel with several types of rooms for the most demanding. Well located and with great mattresses and pillows. The parking lot is small for SUVs, but it has an elevator. I chose an economical room and when requesting a bar I was served at the same time.....note 10 for the team.

Small, decaying accommodation, tiny bathroom. The staff are struggling to overcome problems, they're extremely solicitous. Normal breakfast. The parking is tight and doesn't cater to all guests.

Hotel Montana - Serra Negra

The hotel is quite old. But the bed is good and the shower is good too. It's in the center of town and you can do almost everything on foot. Be careful about the room you're going to stay in. Some are tiny and don't have a fridge. I upgraded a few days ago. The coffee is reasonable.

I liked the location, the service and even the suggestions of where to eat. I liked it. The morning coffee is simple but good, it has fruits, juice, tea, coffee, milk, butter and jelly.

We went back to the hotel after a few years due to the good receptivity. The service and breakfast are still good. Located 900 meters from the center, it helps with walking. However, we realized that the maintenance was left a little aside, perhaps due to the period that was closed due to the pandemic. In the room we had problems with the television, phone and shower. All were solved. We stayed in the front room to escape the chicken, but due to the heat we had to leave the trunk open. I don't recommend because the street is a truck and bus route and has a good backyard in front of the hotel. I also don't recommend the last pair of apartments because it is on the side that sings the whole night. In the other room everything was quiet.

Reasonable

The hotel is in a good location, but the maintenance is bad, the bath towels are tiny, dirty, the cleanliness makes it desirable, the front of the hotel is dirty, it has no control over people according to health standards, simple morning coffee, no fruit juice, poor quality coffee, milk doesn't smell good, a lot of disorganization, dissatisfied employees and many of them without masks, I don't know how the health surveillance hasn't already banned this hotel.
