The place is unhygienic, the people in the service are nice, but very unhygienic, breakfast, bad, bad bathrooms, very bad tent place, soaked, privileged place, close to everything............

Total misrepresentation

You have no one to meet you at the reception, you have no security, the tents are loose in the backyard in the rain, it's pure deception, and don't return your money, don't fall, erase the negative messages.

It's a complete hoax!

It's my first stay in a hostel! For the price, it's reasonable. I plan to come back other times! Breakfast is Basic! Owner is super educated! Ubatuba rains a lot! Maybe that's why Mofo's strong chew.

Medium location!

I booked once, I canceled in three days as the customer's charter says free cancellation I decided to book again, finding the first one canceled, I paid twice for a horrible, stinking place, no one from the hostel helped with the disorders.

Disappointing

It was a terrible experience, a dirty place, smelling like pee and mold. I didn't even have the guts to have coffee on the spot. I don't recommend it, the price we paid didn't make up for anything.

Reveillon

When we got to the hostel, the smell was foam and the smell was strong pee in the room, the fan was broken and the bathroom was dirty, the box with thick black dirt was very disgusting.

Fleas!

I think here the horrible and misleading service was a blessing in disguise because it saved us from an even worse date: the apparently flea-ridden tents.

We were told there was free public parking nearby so we rented a car. That free public parking was actually the road... otherwise​known as no parking on-site.

So when we got there we were already​ a bit miffed. This did not improve when the only person there working, despite his good intentions, had only been there a month (there being the city) and had no idea what to do. He agreed it was not a great situation.

Two hours went by. No response from owner (who lives in São Paulo). No response from manager, who is unreachable and was only supposed to pop into town "for a bit."

When she returns, she shrugs, shows us some fine print on the site, and essentially says "buyer beware. Read the fine print."

While in conference at the entrance deciding what to do, another guest sees our predicament and asks if we were to stay in the tents. We sure were. Don't bother, she says. There are fleas there!

We have no way of knowing if there actually were fleas there but in hindsight, the dog at the hostel did seem to be scratching himself a bit more than average...

As I said, blessing in disguise. We hightailed it out of there. Avoid avoid avoid!

Fleas! And misleading descriptions and horrible service!

Tié Hostel is a small and charming hostel near the center of Ubatuba. There is a supermarket and a lot of restaurant nearby. 
The beach (You can hear the ocean waves at night!) and the bus station are close by as well. For a backpacker like me this was the perfect stop. 
There is a good-size garden to put up your tent as well, with a bbq and plenty of birds.
The kitchen could be improved, but overall I really liked the place!

Friendly staff, good value

This hostel is a typical fisherman's home from Ubatuba, it is very well located in the center of Itagua, (Ubatuba) and the environment is very cozy and informal. Lucas is a person who is available and open to sharing.
