Yakovtsi Inn

If you expect comfortable rooms, good service and tasty food, that's not your place. But if you dont want to spend less money and to wait for service couple of hours- you can be on the right place. We were in the old part of the "hotel" ("bed and breakfast"). There is no internet conection. The bed takes all place in the room. The bathrooms wasnt renovated from last century.We had a bucket laid under the boiler in the bathroom which was very strange and made us think that the boiler was so old and faulty that it could explode any moment.
The breakfast was the most charming thing you can imagine including a coffee that you must pay for, and some vegetables that were obviously a restover from the dinner.

Cheap rooms,poor service

We enjoyed several meals at the Hanche during our stay in Yakovtsi. Great service, lovely food. Typical Bulgarain fayre, large portions. Would recommend if you are in the area, we found that some of the waiting staff spoke a little English. Menus were in English and Bulgarian  which helped us learn a few words during our visits. Will be going back.

Lovely place to eat

We have stayed in various rooms in this hotel over the last few years and our favourite are in the new part. The new rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good size shower room. All the staff are always friendly and helpful and we have had many excellent meals in the bar and restaurant and relaxing evenings drinking by the pool. The hotel is a very short walk to the scenic Yakovtsi lake which is ideal for fishing, long walks in the mountains and cycling. There is a small shop in the hotel with a good selection of the basics. Elena town is a 5 minute drive and Veliko Tarnovo 25 minutes away both have excellent facilities and some lovely tourist attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel, it is a good village hotel with good food and service, comfortable rooms all at reasonable prices.

Lovely hotel in a scenic location with friendly helpful, staff and good food

If you are looking for a luxury vacation, this is not your place. But if you want a cheap hotel with great value for the money given - then Yakovtsi Inn is the perfect place. With very friendly personnel, clean rooms, clean swimming pool and incredibly delicious food in the restaurant. We stayed in the old part of the hotel where it was a bit noisy, since the restaurant tables were nearby but every evening the noise ended no later than 22:00. The place is ideal for kids - there is a kids swimming pool and small playground which our daughter really enjoyed. The only issue we had was that the sofa in the apartment wasn't at all comfortable for sleeping.
