This is the worst hotel you can ever imagine. Dirty rooms never hoovered, full of cockroaches, old air conditioners that do not work, noisy, cold water. The breakfast is a joke, served in a bar, made hours ago, cold and dry, people smoke around you and loud music. Staff not helpful and you cannot speak with a manager. It's just a rip-off, high prices and you get nothing. They are claiming that there is a pool then tell you that it is not working. This place should be closed, please avoid it!

Disgusting

This hotel does not appear to have non-smoking rooms, which means that non-smokers have to endure the smell of smoke everywhere, even when they get into bed and pull the sheets up tight around themselves to stay warm, only to find that the sheets smell of cigarette smoke. Cold floors and a bathroom design that means you should do everything else before you shower because not all rooms have shower curtains (I compared notes with colleagues staying there). The fan heater situated on the ceiling does work but recirculates air that smells of (you guessed it) smoke.

The reception staff were helpful enough with their varying levels of English.

Breakfast would be best described as "spartan" in terms of the variety.

Dirty, noisy, no hot water - this is not a hotel, this is nightmare!
Terrible breakfast - if You have half day to wait for its preparation!
On the front door there are some stickers for payment by card, but please do not expect to pay by card in real life - this is also not possible.

DON'T GO THERE, DON'T STAY THERE

I have been there several times during my bussiness trips in Gorna Oryahovitsa. The location is very good, in the center and easy to be reached by car. The rooms are normal for the price but unfortunately quite noisy, because of the windows. The breakfast is quite poor. in the past may be it has been good property, but now if you have another apportunity to stay, go there.

City hotel

Unless you like labyrinths and hundreds of stairs until you reach your room, which is not properly cleaned, has a cockroach or two and you love waiting an hour for your two-pieces-of-bread breakfast with your 2-years-old at smoker's bar, all of this at the price of 4-star hotel, feel free to book. Otherwise, go to Arbanasi or another place nearby. This might be the best hotel in Gorna Oryahovica but it is one of the worst ones I've been to.

Go somewhere else

This hotel is well over priced for what it is. Rooms are small and very badly maintained. Sewage in the bathrooms is awful. There is a really bad smell throughout. Expect to be charged extra for pretty much everything you might need i.e. hair dryer, towels for the pool etc.
