We spent а night in Iliikova house in June. This is the best guest house we have visited not only in Bulgaria. The perfect cleanliness, the comfort, the silence, the nature around, the small accents in the room, the bathroom and the yard, and last but not least the hospitality of the owner contributed to feeling wonderful there. Thank you!

The best place to stay- highly recommended

This is the cleanest house I have seen and stayed in. Ever. It was a last minute reservation, passing through the town of Kalofer. The owner was very polite and accommodating. The house itself is located on a hill and has an amazing view. Garden is beautiful. Apartment on the 2nd floor is well designed and has a fabulous kitchen. Bed is very comfortable, pillows are absolutely perfect and the bed sheets smell phenomenal. I found out the owner is a great cook and a photographer. Gives tins of advise and recommendations of daily trips and hidden places.  A family of 4 could easily spend a week and feel welcomed and well taken care of. 

Amazing guest house

Came for a hike, it was last minute decision with which we were pleasantly surprised . 
Wonderful experience.
Really nice house , the room has everything you need. The garden was super cute. 
Host was really helpful. 
I would gladly come back here again.

Stayed in for a winter hike 

We stayed for 3 nights at the Iliikova House in the newer house. The place is tastefully equipped, clean, and location is very convenient (even if you are using public buses!). There is no food offered however, you can buy whatever you need from the shops nears by. The owner accommodated our travel plans and early arrival and answered all our questions.
The garden is gorgeous and you can enjoy your drink or meal in the shades. 

A marvelous guest house 

Our big family (2 adults and 3 kids) spent a weekend in Kalofer for my birthday and stayed in Iliikova house thanks to the great reviews of it. The house was more than we expected, with comfortable interior and traditional exhibit at the 2nd floor. Very warm thanks to heating (the nights in the mountain tend to be cold!), very cozy rooms and lovely atmosphere. 
There is a fully equipped kitchen at the ground floor which was important when travelling with kids, and there was a cuddly friendly cat as well :)
Make sure to get the home-made traditional banitsa for breakfast (paid extra, but totally worth it), the breakfast in general is very ample and diverse.
There is a lovely eco path called Byala reka starting 5-6 km from Kalofer. It is very easy to make and amazing for kids thanks to the bridges and beautiful views, but make sure you head for it earlier in the day since the road is poor and we actually left our car 2-3 km before the start of the eco path. We had the pure luck to meet the owner when coming back from the eco path and he drove us back to the car, which spared us the super late coming back to the house.
We had dinner at a non-touristy place close to the house - Tundja restaurant - recommended by the house owner. Very delicious food at modest prices.
Kalofer is also a very nice small village with beautiful views so make sure to take a walk around.
To finalize - wish more guest houses in Bulgaria were managed like Iliikova house, make sure to visit it.

Lovely rooms, good breakfast, nice garden, helpful owner.
En-suite facilities. 
Plenty of room for a group of 10. Lots of space outside for breakfast and chatting.

Lovely property

Very nice and comfortable house, very clean. A calm and quiet place with nice garden and with beautiful view to the mountains. I and my husband had warm reception, although we arrived late. We were for 2 nights here and we enjoyed the time in the town and the impressive nature near the waterfall. Highly recommended!

Great house

We have booked one night stay with Iliikova House and just a few days before our arrival, we've received a phone call from the owner saying that they CAN'T accommodate us!!! And that we should cancel our booking (we used booking.com). We were looking forward to meeting friends of ours in Kalofer ( they've booked a house nearby ) and that just ruined everything! I've called that guy later that day and he acted so arrogantly, stating how many people are canceling bookings from booking.com ... which is absolutely weird since you've got a cancelation fee !!! Not even we didn't get an excuse, but he said and I'll quote "Everyone is free whatever they wish" ?!?!? Such a shame, this house looks very promising from the outside but is managed horribly by its owners! AVOID!

Ruined family weekend

We were part of a group biking in the area. From the moment we entered the gate we felt at home. The hospitality, the clean and nice decorated room and garden gave us wonderful time. It is comfortable and a laundry was also available.
