We (me and my husband) stayed 11 days in Hotel Riviera in Ravda, Bulgaria in August 2014. We had double room with a bathroom and a small balcony. The room was booked via Travel Agency Itaka (Poland). We were informed that the hotel's standard is two stars (**) so we did not expect high standard. We brought our own towels, iron and a small electric kettle. The room was air conditioned and there was a small fridge. 
There was a set of towels (small and a bigger one), shampoo and soap sample per person.
The bed sheets and the towels were not changed during the whole stay. A cleaning lady was coming every day, but only to clean up the bathroom.
At first sight the room looked OK – paint on walls and ceiling looked new. The bathroom was poorly equipped (shower cabin with a waterproof cloth instead of glass door, small, cheap, little rusty shelf and towel-rack etc).
The problem was smell of the room – mustiness. Possibly the reason was moisture climate but air conditioning should help to get rid of it. We opened the air conditioner but the smell of it was even worse than the room's smell. We tried to ventilate the room by opening the balcony door and a window but then the problem was noise coming from a street. Another problem were electric sockets – only two free sockets in the whole room. If we take into consideration that people nowadays have smart phones, tablets, laptops, cameras and other electronic devices, not even mentioning kettle or iron, two electric sockets are for sure not enough.
The shower in the bathroom was also a problem: shower – cloth didn't work and the bathroom was flooded after every shower.
The hotel is located on the main street of Ravda and it may considered as an advantage – close to bus stops (200 meters – Nessebar direction, about 300 meters – Sozopol direction) and the city centre (about 800 meters) as well as to Nessebar old town ( about 3 kilometers) but generally it was a problem – as it was very noisy and full of traffic we couldn't hear our own thoughts sometimes.
On the other hand the hotel is located about 100 meters from the sea, it is really close the the Olympic Beach, public beach in Ravda. There is also a small, but nice swimming pool belonging to the hotel. We used it sometimes. There were also several deckchairs around the pool – free to use.
The nearest airport is located in Burgas, 30 kilometers from Ravda.

We took a room with breakfast included. The breakfast was given between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Continental breakfast was served. Everything was cold, including fried eggs. There was some kind of lemonade served and hot water for tea or coffee. Bulgarians do not usually drink tea, so finding high quality black or green tea can be hard in Ravda. I suggest to bring it with you. There were two toasters and we were free to prepare as many toasts as we wished. Also a piece of fresh watermelon was a nice accent.
The hotel staff was nice and helpful but hardly speak English. Sometimes there was no one at the reception desk and we had to run around the hotel to find someone (to leave or get back the room key or to open the safe).

The WI-FI Internet was for free, but the connection was slow and it was hard to use the Internet in the room. The strongest connection we could catch in the hotel’s restaurant.

There was no light on the balcony and also around swimming pool so it was impossible to sit on the balcony or around the swimming pool at night.

Concluding, the only advantage of the hotel is its location – close to the beach, Ravda’s  centre and to Nessebar. The standard reminds more an average hostel in my hometown (Krakow, Poland) than a hotel with any stars.
