Nice location, there are two buildings for this hostel / hotel. We were at the center and it was great because everything I wanted was close to us. The guy who gave us the keys was pretty nice and the dog was very nice too (really animals are better than humans - it's proven)

Stayed here for 2 nights and was very pleasantly surprised.  I had an extremely quiet room with toilet and shower.  I received a welcome greeting on arrival and all necessary information and details for my stay.  A bit obscure to find but we'll signed and GPS coordinates are precise.  Clean, quiet, comfortable and efficient.  Will definitely stay next time I'm in Plovdiv.

This year again I have visited Plovdiv   and decided to stay at Home hostel for the second time because of its wonderful location in the center of old city and close to central bus/train stations. This time my husband and I stayed in a room with a king bed. In the room there're an airco, tv, VERY comfortable bed! The hostel is clean, everything works and in good order. Thanks a lot to the hostel owner Maurizio. His friendly and helpful approach made our stay even more pleasant. I can easily advise this place again.

Home Hostel is very highly rated on Booking.com and rightly so because the accommodation is new, clean and managed by a very friendly and helpful chap. However, those past their prime, such as myself, might like to consider that the climb up to the 4th floor, where all the rooms are, is not that easy with any form of luggage, especially if you have just walked the considerable distance from the railway station area, as I had. 

Regarding the accommodation, I can only tell you about the single room which is adequate but the smallest that I have ever stayed in. It has a bed, bedside table, wardrobe, small shelving unit and waste paper bin; towels and slippers are provided. There is no heating in that room which might be a problem in the winter. A portable cooling fan is stored in the wardrobe ready for summer use.

The single room is directly opposite both male and female toilet/shower rooms and the main entrance door is one metre to the left. Accordingly, door banging and noise from other occupants is evident at any time. All this only applies to the single room; the others are far enough away not to have these problems. 

Although the front of the building and ground level entrance are not very inviting, don`t be put off. When you reach the fourth floor there is a nice surprise. Modern, quite new, well fitted out premises, kept spotlessly clean. The toilet/shower rooms and in good condition, as is the modern, well equipped kitchen. 

Expect the possibility of lively neighbours; at 2am the place at last became quiet. Overall good value, perhaps more suitable for younger folks but I would go there again for a short stay.
