The new extension building to the well known Starosel hot mineral spa hotel is a must.A choice of several indoor pools at different temperatures/ ranging form the main  large pool at 33 C to other pools at 37 C . A few hot Jacuzzi pools out side at  38 C temp.
Included are various steam, sauna and massage rooms .
Excellent International and Bulgarian restaurant cuisine with a wide choice menu.
The spa pools have a special dedicated area for children/ supervised by a' life guard'  which gives the parents some time out for their own health treatments.
The daily free wine tasting is a must with a wide section of wines produced at the resort.Try the the House  red CUVEE wine served only at the restaurant by the half or full litre. 
A wine shop sells various selected wines to guests at whole sale prices.

The best spa hotel retreat in the Thracian wine valley region

Excellent rooms, delicious food, perfect spa center! We spent a long weekend in the complex and will definitely visit again! If you are searching for place with warm and clean pool that your kids can spend hours this is the perfect place in the area. You can go to a zoo tour and you will enjoy every second in the company of friendly deer. If you are a fan of wine tasting they have great selection of Bulgarian wines. The room was clean and tidy and the staff helpful and friendly. The only problem was that the restaurant wasn’t big enough and if you don’t have a reservation you need to be inside but this is a matter of planning. 
This is definitely the best hotel in the area!

Amazing place!

We visited here on the 16th May for two nights and what a super clean place it is, I went on the seven wines tasting experience and the guy that took it was very knowledgable, I would highly recommend doing it if only for a tour of the cellar.
The hotel rooms were spacious and in good condition, we were in block two near the spa area.  The outdoor pool is the warmest I’ve ever been in and again it was spotless.  The pool bar and restaurant were both reasonably priced.

We have already recommended this place to friends as a great short break location from the UK as it’s only a two hour drive from Sofia airport and car hire in Bulgaria is a good price.

What a great oasis of calm

It's been a while since I've experienced good service in Bulgaria. Here in Starosel we had a very professionally guided tour, which we enjoyed. We learned a lot about wine making. The frosting on the cake was the tasting room made to resemble a Thracian temple. Well-organized wine tasting, only a spittoon was missing. I have visited some wineries in France and Croatia, this one was definitely up to par. The complex itself is very popular, therefore a bit crowded and hectic, but offers good quality and great service which make a difference. Nice restaurant too. The pools and the spa area were fairly inviting. A great place to unwind and relax. We didn't sleep at the hotel due to their minimum stay policy of two nights at weekends. Unfortunately, we didn't have that kind of time on our hands. Maybe next time.

Excellent private winery tour

It's the perfect place to hide from the hustle and bustle of the city for a couple of days, three days. That's the maximum! If you're in the car, you can combine it with a walk to the town of Hisar.

Perfect for the weekend!

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days only ,but it was very relaxed experience . We had two studios apartments which were very spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating ,most of it spoke good English. There are two restaurants with the smallest being a bit more luxurious with good choice of food. The wine and brandy tasting experience was amazing which lead us of buying quite a few bottles of very delicious wine. The kids had a hours riding and the peacock around the gardens and apartment was splendid. The outside pool seems to be a bit on the small size but I think they are expanding the complex so it might get bigger outdoor pool. The spa was with reasonable choice of treatment and the indoor pool was lovely. Overall we are planning to visit next year again for a bit longer. 

Very good

I invited my brother to a family dinner. We went all the way from Plovdiv. And we didn't regret it. Sheslongs under the grapes - unforgettable!!! The kitchen is high! There is a class for children too.

It's a great place.

The decoration of the complex and rooms is done in a traditional Bulgarian style, a very beautiful area with free walking pavilions. An open pool with hot mineral water. The hotel operates a restaurant with a summer terrace, where you can taste the signature Bulgarian dishes and the wine of the same name of TM STAROSEL.

It's a nice place to relax.

The weather was 24 degrees a very nice climate I liked. the wine cave is the prettiest I've ever met, besides that they make it a full experience full of sensations where you go from being in complete darkness to reaching this very off-season cave that culminates in the tasting of a very soft and rich rosé wine to accompany the seafood. at the top of the cave is the spa hotel with a very nice swimming pool. the spectacular tasty restaurant meal, the only thing that bothered me is that they have birds sitting on the meals but they open many to those who would not be uncomfortable with it. in short it is one of the very best recommended experiences!

A wine tasting is a wine tasting.

We went to lunch. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The staff was friendly. The kitchen was so average, nothing surprising. But the rack and wine were above all praise. It's only worth going there to buy drinks under the old village brand. I wanted to see the wine cellar, but I was told that this was only possible as part of a tasting tour that would take place in two hours.
