Really great atmosphere very lovely view from the room terrace and the restaurant and the beach so nice and very clean staff very friendly and lovely  i been there twice first time we stoped for dining and i loved the place and 2nd time i have stayed there in the hotel and i will be back again soon :)) warm regards from egypt :) 


Decent hotel. Hotel kamelot has a lovely location- we had terrible weather but the lake was still very pretty. The hotel is definitely incredibly kitschy- bizarre animal portraits on the walls and a shirtless smiling Brad Pitt above a tropically decorated toilet in the restaurant, but I found this hilarious and endearing. The food was so-so; we did half board and the included entrees were a little limited- a flavorless pork chop and greasy risotto were what we ended up with. I wish a salad had been an option. That said, the food was cheap if we wanted extra. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was extremely approachable friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Definitely no gym or fitness center though which is oddly listed as an amenity

You can say the best place in bulgaria !! Near sofia

Decent hotel 

If you wanna enter just for the restaurant - it is not possible - you have to pay 20 BGN for a car in order to seat and have lunch.
The food in the restaurant was very bad - I had frozen fish that was only half grilled with bad potatoes. Just wanna point that this is the best region in Bulgaria for potatoes so they should be fantastic! And the restaurant  is located by the lake - why would they even have a frozen fish????
My husband had beef meat balls and he said they were OK but the salad that came with them was probably from the day before! The vegetables were cut long time ago and it's August- you can buy good vegetables everywhere in Bulgaria in this time of the year.
The restaurant is overpriced for this quality of food and with the most expensive parking definitely.
The waiter was friendly and fast  he apologized for the bad food, he saw it, but didn't offer to change it.

Bad and overpriced food, fantastic view

Fantastic views and as it is on the edge of the Dam then good for boating. Ample car parking.
Room was basic but acceptable,  it was clean and the shower was very good. Comfortable bed. Staff were polite and service was efficient,  the evening meal was nice, all our food arrived at the same time and it was hot. Downside, it stank of cigarette smoke, reception,  dinning room where people were eating, the bedroom did not smell. Breakfast was very limited as part of the b&b package.

One nights stay

This hotel and restaurant is located at the Iskar dam, about 40 km. from Sofia. When we visited it, there was construction works next to it and we decided not to stay for the night. We visited only the restaurant. The food was not good, so was the service. Some of the interior is kitsch. Did not like the place.

This year not so good. You have to pay entrance, even though we go for lunch in the restaurant, not for the beach. If want to have visitors, first of all you should let them in the restaurant. The food was expensive for this quality. Not so fancy restaurants are really good on the bank of the Iskar. 

Beneath our expectations 

If you want to visit the place even for the restaurant, you need to pay entrance fee. 

We were required to pay 10 BGN per car or 5 BGN per person if you park somewhere else and you arrive on foot. We were not even let inside to see whether we would like to stay or not. It is obviously a place where they do not count on loyalty of customers but on getting as much money as possible.
