Family Hotel Madrid 

We've stayed at this hotel a few times, and, it's a great little hotel. We first stayed here while I was having an operation at the small hospital opposite, I could actually wave to my family from my hospital bed. The second time we were taking a family member for a consultation at another of Sofias hospitals. We've always booked apartment 51. It's a large apartment on the fifth floor. It has two spacious bedrooms, a lounge/dining area, a shower/toilet room and a balcony. It's always been immaculate and the staff are always very friendly! Despite being in the city it's very quiet and comfortable so you get a good nights sleep! The other handy thing about this hotel is it's on the edge of the city, it's within walking distance of shops and the huge mall, but, if you're not a fan of driving in the city it's easy to get to as it's on the straight road into Sofia so you don't have to battle crazy drivers. If you're staying for business or simply want to explore Sofia this is a great base to do it from. My only tiny tiny criticism is, there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. Food and coffee is limited to the vending machines in reception, though the vending machine coffees are pretty good by vending machine standards. Overall it's great value at 110leva for an apartment per night. Highly recommended if staying for a night or two in Sofia.
