The hotel is small and cozy and the staff is very well prepared. It helps you experience real relaxation and enjoy the sea. There is a nice pool and a large and varied courtyard with sunbeds, tables and barbarones. The rooms are clean and spacious. In my opinion, our room was even bigger than described in the booking. We also had a huge panoramic balcony.

If you expect large hotel, it is not. If you want small and cozy place, this is it!

True relax

I never believed this kind of places exist. I hade 2 nights booking, but i stayed only one due to the fact this place was beyond awful. As a regular traveler,  this hotel make your nightmares come true. I don’t know from where to start: no extra pillows, slow service in the restaurant, bugs in the room. I couldn’t believe what they are offering for a breakfast: 2 type of toast bread, scramble eggs (looking like a brick), no meat, butter was finished (at 9 am, the breakfast is until 10, I asked no one brought ) And the funny part was the juice was in this 3 litter box (everything was from Kaufland as they are making advertise of it). In the morning of 9th of August we left the hotel and the receptionist promised us that the general manager will call in order to clarify further. Do you thing they called.. of course not...today is 28th of August. I do not recommend this place and they literally ruined our vacation. This is how the BUSINESS is done in Bulgaria.

The worst of the worst

As of July 2020 I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It is not like it is high season and I don't think they can afford to not treat their guests the best way possible. One of my friends had her sunglasses stolen from her room while we were at the beach for the day. The hotel's management didn't offer any kind of compensation or even a simple excuse. In our room we had our perfumes and toiletries clearly tuched and possibly used. Even the pop- up restaurant of the Master Chef winner Bojana and the Hell's kitchen winner Vesi Chileva couldn't save the whole situation. They prepared special and tasty big dinner for us. But every morning breakfast was a huge fail. We waited for our coffees for good 45 minutes. After that we we were served  scarce portion of few pieces of vegetables, one piece ham, half of krenvirsh, an egg. 
So, if you aren't in very special kind of dzen, don't stay in this hotel, because you risk you holiday to be ruined by everything that isn't ok.

I wouldn't recommned

In the morning there were not enough coffee cups!!!!!!! (Mind-blowing)The milk i our vegan coffee was spoiled. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. As I understand they are in the hotel since a couple of days and totally messy situation. Owners of the hotel make huge parties and in the meantime ask the guests of the hotel to stay quiet. Overall very bad experience. I did not feel special at all!!!

Very very very very bad!!!!

The hotel is exactly as you imagine based on the pictures. Staff is super friendly. We were driving up and down visiting several areas and beaches but honestly the little hidden beach in front of the hotel was the best. The restaurant is not like outstanding but quite good. Sozopol old town is very close if you feel like walking in the old town (i would recommend it). Furnitures and decoration of the rooms are cute (bit of vintage and beach stile combination), the pool area is sooo calm and chill you can feel like staying there forever (if you need a break of stress as we did this time). We are quite active outdoor people, even being so tired we were exploring the villages on the south but that can fit in a few hours and was good to return to this peaceful atmosphere.
Ohh, and breakfast was very good, wide range of goodies and bean coffee!

Just lay back and RELAX

It was a true pleasure spending time here. The staff was very polite and the place was super clean. Great pool with a first line sea view. But the “dj”s made sure the music was constantly and abruptly interrupted by moments of silence.

Holiday

Our sub aqua group of 10 booked into relax hotel from 4th-11th sept 2017. We wanted a clean hotel for B&B only as we would be out all day diving and eat out at night as there are many great value restaurants. Out of 7 mornings, we were only offerred a 'basic' breakfast 'TWICE' !.  Breakfast was advertised 8.00am to 10.30am. On our first day we had to get transport at 8.30am but the breakfast room didnt open until 8.20am. No staff, no hot drinks, only egg toast and water. No fruit juice or milk. We complained and were promised a better experience the next day. 2nd day the same but open at 8.05am. Only one member of staff on reception/kitchen ???

3rd day a young lady was present and provided the first breakfast which was almost acceptable. Thereafter the miserable non speaking elderly man on reception said the cooker was broken, and they had to get food cooked off premises by some unknown chef. 

There was no bar or drinks available in the entire hotel. We were told to use the supermarket across the road. It was so bad it became hilarious !

Rooms clean but not cleaned for 4 days out of 6..

The building is lovely, location great (by nudist beach), facilities all there but no staff only two elderly gentlemen, one on reception the other a night porter.

Sorry, I could go on and on..They do not deserve customers..

relax hotel no such thing, terrible !

Sozopol is a lovely place to visit but cannot recommend the Relax hotel at all, the staff generally were useless and not bothered, a catalogue of maintenance issues which i now see have been a problem for some time by reading other reviews. It is a shame that they do not sort this as the hotel is generally good, the pool suits your needs and the beach is a short walk down some steps. Breakfast is some time in the morning but appears to be when they can be drag someone off the street to prepare it !! Overall very disappointed to what looks like a great place from the photos posted on this site, deceiving it is.

Disappointed

We did not have a very nice time at this hotel the details and pictures and are not correct to what is on offer it's only bed & breakfast hotel , the room that we had was not in the best condition the shower was covered in mould & there was damp on the walls see pictures, once breakfast as finished at 10:30am that's it no more food & snacks on offer you can only get drinks form the resturant and that closes at 6pm and one day they ran out of beer and bottled water not good , the pool side beds leave a lot to be desired all the umbrellas were broken, see pictures this hotel is not a 3 star hotel .
