The host Sophan and his wife are very kind and helpful. The eldest son was also very helpful and the youngest son was playing en was very funny. 
The room is basic (with hot shower! :) ), but the location is very nice en de views from are splendid. 
We arranged a tour to the waterfalls, Buddha and the Lake. Unfornutate the driver did not speak English, but is wasn't a big problem. 
We would recommend this place to stay! 


Very nice to stay!

He's a liar, a hypocritical crook who's more invasive and always wants to take money! In addition to that his rooms are not good! All the treks and transfers offered are priceless! Never go to his house plus there are much nicer and cheaper guesthouses next door with real and authentic families

The worst experience since 10 years nomad traveling

The place is a quiet, hidden paradise into the jungle!! The room (dorm) where I stayed was all made of wooden, like all the other buildings, and it has attached bathroom. All the the beds were superbig size with mosquito net :) Also, Sopan and his family, owners of the place, where very nice and helpful with all things I needed (bus tickets, trekkings) and the food that they cooked was delicious.

The perfect stay in Banlug :)

The main feature of this place is that you feel immersed in nature, in close contact with it. It's magical good both for dinner and breakfast, even though the choice is not wide and the portions are not particularly abundant.

We slept here for 2 nights, we were coming from a week's tour of Cambodia so the first thing we asked for was the laundry service. They tell us they do and we entrust our clothes to them... the biggest mistake we could not make, they don't have the dryer, the result is they return all the clothes to us the next day still frosty. As for the accommodation very nice and very cozy.

Very nice bungalows but the service leaves you wanting

I got the "dorms" bungalow which IS definitely not a dorm but more a big wooden bedroom made with love (for only 2$). Matress seems thin but they are really confy + nice mosquito net! Love this place with really gorgeous sunsets, and the family!

Wish to stay longer!

I wished I could say something more positive but I want to be honest. 
I arrived at the bus station in Banlung and wasn't sure where to stay. The owner of the lodge was there and convinced me to come and stay at the Nature house. He wanted to show me the dorm first but I told him I would prefer a room that I don't have to share so he showed me the bungalow which was massive. I told him I didn't need such big place and if he doesn't have a double room for around 5$. I knew the bungalow was 10$. He said it was booked cause he had a walk-in but when I mentioned that I saw a few other rooms on booking.com for 5$, which were free, he offered a twin room. At the end I stayed in the bungalow because it had a nice view and he gave it to me for 8$. The walk-in was a lie though cause there was noone but me in the lodge.
When I ordered some food, which was really nice, we talked about tours in the area and he said he could do the day tour to the 3 waterfalls, the lake and a minority village which i was interested in for 30$.
Before I left to have a look at the market, he asked me if I can pay for the tour now but I didn't have enough money so I said I would pay later.
When I was in town I checked another place for the same tour and the guy offered it to me for 20$. I also thought he was very nice and I read his reviews on tripadvisor and there was not one negative comment so I booked it. When I came back to the lodge I told the owner straight away and he was upset and said I should have negotiated with him cause I talked to him first and he would have given it to me for 20$ as well. I said I'm not obligated to book with him just because I talked to him first but he obviously didn't agree and walked away. 
The next day at breakfast I asked him about buses to either Preah Vihear or Siem Reap (cause he was sitting next to me again while I was eating, same as the day before) and before I left he wanted me to book the ticket but I said I'm not sure where I'm going yet so I will do it later.
I liked the lodge, the bungalow, the food and his wife too but because he was so pushy I was happy to leave after 2 nights.

Owner is after your money. Didn't feel comfy. Too pushy.

I could go in the jungle for 6 days (in the rain season) thanks to this place, they organised everything in a very short time. Others wasn't able to manage the trip. The meals are excellent, and the location too. I could have also some nice chat with the owner about Cambodians politic.

Sincere

We booked a double room and ended up being upgraded to a beautiful, spacious wooden cabin with a bathroom, verandah, kitchenette, large bedroom and living area. It reminded me of a Tuscan house, all wood floors, shutters and large windows with a beautiful view of the forest and hills. We even saw an eclipse from the verandah!

SO peaceful, stunning cabin

If you don't order anything at the restaurant, you're going to be treated terribly. There's never a host who speaks English. We waited 30 minutes until we were settled. And another 30 minutes until they prepared the room, even though we arrived at 5:00 p.m. The host always wanted us to sell something and earn money for us, and we just wanted to rest. When we were evicted we waited a long time for the host who went missing somewhere again. And the helpers don't speak English at all. After we left, the host cancelled our reservation so that we wouldn't pay interest to the system. If you want to have a good rest, I don't recommend this place for rest. PS. Never extend your stay on the site. This house is better to stay through the system because it will take your money without your involvement.
