We went to Captain Chim's Guesthouse to grab a coffee on our first day in Kep and ended up eating there every day.
It was rather unusual for us to stick to one certain restaurant for our whole stay but we fell in love. The food was delicious and more than reasonably priced (you might even call it cheap). The staff was very cute and attentive.
As vegetarians, we firmly recommend the Khmer Curry with Vegetable and Tofu! (They offer a whole page with a variety of vegetarian food on their menu)

Excellent Food

We went there to have dinner after our Sunset cruise. The food was yummy, as well as the cocktails! I particularly recommend the massaman curry, which was very tasty! Service is fast and staff very kind!

Delicious dinner

The dorm is very spacious. Instead of bunkbeds they have 4 single beds. The lockers are large enough to fit in your whole bag. Each bed has a bug net, blanket and towel. And the dorm has a balcony with a good view of the city. The water is free and they have the cheapest bus rates I have seen in Kampot. They also have free wifi. It is right close to the centre of town, making it walking distance to all the local restaurants, shops and river. I also stayed one night in the private dorm. It was large and spacious, a private bathroom, television and fan. The air con could have been turned on if paying another fee. The bathrooms are decently clean, they lack a bit of water pressure, but it is not an inconvenience. This is the perfect dorm for the budget traveller.

Great Dorm for Cheap Price

The room is simple and clean. It was not a fan on the ceiling but a floor fan. Not very fond of the blanket. Sheets would be better. View was on the rear of the building. People have been welcoming and helpful.

Clean place 

Just arrived to Kampot and the first dinner in here. The steak is quite good but received the feedback from friends the pork chop are too tough and it is hard to chew it. At all it still a good place to hang out... Btw, the firefly tour at here are worth a try, although not so much the fire fly but all of us are still excited to have this chill out river tour.

Dinner

Ordered steak  came covered in horrible sweet sauce. Asked the owner first he said it was tomato sauce that I had put on myself which i had not then that the steak came like that. Pointed out that menu did not state this. Was not interested. Still gave us the full bill. Would not go back
