La Belle Villa

What a quiet, beautiful spot! My wife and I fell ill in Kampot and Nicholas and the staff at La Belle Villa took such great care to make sure we were OK. When we went out they organised Tuk Tuks for us to go everywhere. Very nice spot and extremely affordable. My only small criticism would be the shower pressure! It's pretty weak!!

Now let's make it clear to start with you can get lots of different places with lots of different rooms but you can't always get that "home feeling". From the moment we checked in and met nick the owner we felt so at home, we booked a superior room which consist of the comfiest queen side bed plus a double with an en- suite shower room. There is only 3 rooms so you have full roam of the top floor with a large landing/hallway with two beautiful terraces that have bucket chairs. This is also where you have breakfast which yet again I must add was lovely. My favourite part about this place is the fact that nick really tries to make you feel welcome, he recommends places to go, eat etc and can get you day trips out organised. I would love to come back again as this truly is a special place to be. Thankyou for being a wonderful host.

It's taken me a while to write this review as I have been travelling around and only recently got back. This is by far the best place to stay in Kampot, me and my friend had such an amazing stay that we even asked to stay another night.
The bed is the comfiest bed I have stayed in over all my travels around South East Asia. Nick - the guy that owns it is so friendly and helpful. He will give you all of the information you need to know on where is best to go/ eat out in Kampot. He cooks a lovely breakfast for you in the morning and you can sit on the balcony and eat with beautiful views. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

I am so happy my husband booked La Belle Villa for our stay in Kampot. There are just a few rooms available, so it is very quiet. The interior woodwork is amazing. It has a great pool table as well. Nicholas is very helpful and accommodating. He cooks a great breakfast too! He arranges motor bikes to be rented from the villa, which is great. The location is just a short walk from the river promenade and restaurants. It is close to the night market as well. I highly recommend La Belle Villa.

Wonderful place to stay!

I don't want to leave!

Amazing place

Best stay in Kampot!

I was looking forword to my stay and was planning to stay for a week, but I had to leave after one night.
The male owner (nicolas i think) was very rude during tjeck in, but he turned into a raging monster when i asked why there was no water in my room. He came into my room with no shirt and a marajuana joint in his hand almost shouting that I should not expect water in Cambodia and that it was not his problem. I was genialy scared and just agreed to get him to calm down. From then on it was all down hill. Next morning (i didnt eat the breakfast after talking to couple that was staying there also. They suspeted the breakfast for being the course of them being sick the day before). I went to chech out having only payed for one night and not wishing to stay there any longer. Met by the angry owner again he refused to let me leave claiming that I had to stay for a week or at least pay for it. During tjeck in the previous day I had mentioned that I was in town for a week and that I, IF I LIKED the place i would consider staying there for the full week. Now the owner was shouting at me threatning me that he had friends in the police and that i would be thrown in jail if I didnt pay him for a full week. I saw no other option but to pay him the 200 dollars I had on me and left straight away. Kampot is a wonderfull town. So clean and quit. Its a must if youre in Cambodia. But dont go to La Belle Villa!! Youre not safe from the drugusing owner and potetial blackmail scheme.

All the best

Henry
