The rooms are very basic but the common area are well arranged and are a good invitation to enjoy some of your time there. Big thanks to Lulu and Julien for their friendly welcoming! We recommend this place to discover Kep and the surroundings, the hosts can give you many tips!

Very good atmosphere

This really is a wonderful place to stay, in a great chilled out location with beautiful scenery, and great value for money. 

Rooms are comfy and spacious, the place has a lovely chill out area with a bar and food, and always nice relaxing tunes playing during the day. 

Great location, very close to both Kampot and Kep, and they rent Moto's and free bikes for you to get around. 

The food is wonderful, i'd recommend the Chicken Burger, big massive delicious burger and chips for just 3.50, and it's soooo tasty. 

The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, they will sort anything for you in seconds without fuss, and a smile on the face. Whether it be fresh towels/sheets, laundry, food, ordering buses, Tuk Tuks or anything. And they're super friendly. 

The owner Trevor is a legend! Wonderfully interesting and positive person to chat to. Also, I was originally supposed to stay for 24 days but got a bad infection and had to go to hospital. (No fault of Man Grooves, just me not dis-infecting, which is very important especially during rainy season). 

Was already friends with Trevor on fb, messaged him, and he let my friends collect my stuff, and didn't ask for payment for any of the days I missed. A wonderful gesture from a wonderful person. 

Anyways, great place to stay if you want somewhere with loving people and a chilled vibe, and offers great food and a perfect base for travelling around and seeing all the sites. 

Couldn't recommend it enough!

Great place, Great food, Wonderful People.

Stayed here 6 nights. Explored the local area on the mopeds available for hire, location is perfect for visiting Bokor national park, the caves, and Kep too. Owner Trevor is super generous, gave great advice on where to visit. Great chilled out communal area, food prices ok, best value item is French fries for 1$. Trevor took us out on one of the fishing boats he owns one night to see the fireflies. Can also go on fishing trips here too. Free cycles and pool table. Would highly recommend.

Super chilled

First of all, don't come here unless you are a hardcore stoner. Everyone there were completely baked, except for the khmer staff, one of which was very friendly but the other didn't seem to speak any English. The owner was friendly as well, but stoned. When we came, there was very loud dated "beach party" music blasting on the speakers, making it impossible to relax. The food there is expensive but the burger I had was decent. We were sleeping in a private double room right next to the common area, and they were playing music until half 1 am and being loud until 1. The mosquito net had been poorly patched so that it didn't fit the bed properly, and my friend got literally like a hundred bites from some kind of bugs that we assume were in the blanket that was in there, since I didn't get any and I used a fresh blanket. There was a rat in our room going through our stuff at night that we had to try to scare off. All that said, it is a beautiful place located on the river, sadly just mismanaged. 

Stoners retreat 

Went there for YOGA. Advertisement around the bar and on their webpage. As we arrived there after 30 minutes biking from our guesthouse the girl at the bar didn't even know the word YOGA. Then one girl came and said that the teacher left some weeks ago...

Lack of professionalism 

Noisy :
- road with trucks all night long next to it
- loud movies until late evening 
- noisy damaged fan in bungalow 
Dirty :
- dust everywhere
- poor condition of furnitures
- view on garbages
- dead insects
- coakroches
Poor services :
- Staff pretending cool but not so friendly and professional 
- scooters in poor condition
- no water during our stay = no shower and no toilet
- no refund for the second night booked but not consumed, pretending some restriction from the booking website
Conclusion :
A place that probably used to be very nice, maybe with the previous owners, but became a disaster with the new "cool style" one, due to severe lack of maintenance, proper management, and concern about the real comfort of customers. 

Horrible 

Firstly, there is no 'communal area'. The only place you can sit/chill is inside your bungalow. The images online are misleading - the restaurant, pool table and bar are a 5 minute walk from the bungalows. 

We came back one night to find 2 rats the size of cats scuttling out of our room and in the morning found a huge spider on our bed. 

We moved to Kepmandou for our second night and enjoyed it so much more - a great vibe and half the price!
