How can the security guard just leave and lock from the outside??? What a s... hotel!!! Lucky me and my wife have a bar very close so our friend can sleep here for the night and we'll tell all our costumers to stay away from your s... hotel!!!

Worst hotel in Phnom Penh!!!

Not much I can say about this hotel it has all ready been said it is absolutely lousy avoid at all costs. The only reason we stayed here was it was cheap cheap and we left are bags here and 3 hours sleep due to the fact we were going back to the airport on our way to Bangkok

One lousy hotel

I've never seen a hotel so old and rotten in my life that you can't find a better one for that price, so dirty it deserves several years of no maintenance, the advantage is that after the Golden Lion you can't find a worse hotel.

It's horrible.

I came back to Cambodia this year. And the hotel is still as good in my eyes. The staff is friendly and smiling. The hotel is to my taste very well placed, just to the left of the Golden Lion there is a kiwi mart it's a 24-hour open supermarket that also sells French products. It's very useful when you need something at night. A little further to the left there is a laundry room, very good for washing your laundry for some soup. The Mouyonra spa across the street is my favorite taste because I've made a lot of it in Phnom Penh it's definitely my favorite. The hotel is right, and the food is also good in the Golden Lion. The card is varied and includes pizza, pate, Asian dishes and barbecues... there's also one.

Always as well

Everything at this hotel is simple and catchy and it's not supposed to be that way. Shame!!!!!! I'd look around for another place to stay.

Waste of money

We spent less than 10 minutes in this building before leaving!
The restaurant/bar is dingy and smelly. Public loo was full of bags of rubbish, that by the smell had been there a long LONG time!
Then we get shown our room, no window, broken door that dosnt lock, bathroom door locked when we shut the door so we couldn't  get in (to which the staff just shrugged) but when we did go in it was covered in mould, even the toilet roll. The bath had bugs in and there were used cotton buds in the sink. Air con, fan, wardrobe all broken. Fridge is black with dirt both inside and out. Stains and cobwebs on BOTH beds and walls.
On one side was a girly bar and the other a knife shop, not ideal!
I would not even let a soi dog spend a night in this hotel. 
Guessing staff spoke no English as we got a blank stare when we explained that we were leaving. 


Avoid at all cost!

The hotel is very conveniently located: next to the beach, the night market, near the royal palace. On the other side it is a busy, noisy place. The rooms are small. Almost all have no windows with a fan. Accordingly, the strong smell can't be ventilated. I lived in a room with a window and air conditioner, toilet and shower. Very noisy. But one night you can stay over. All my requirements for cleanliness were met. Around the reception there is a cooler with water where you can get drinking water.

Leon D'or

I think it's one of the worst places in the heart of the city to sleep..It's a shame from God because to have the chance to manage a place like this on the river and keep it like this is crazy. x 18 dollars spent in this topica, in the city you have a double room with everything you can want..here there is nothing but mostly is very dirty and unsafe.

Having gold and not exploiting it

The hotel offers several different dishes (French, Asian...) it takes a little break when you spend a lot of time in Cambodia and have eaten it all Asian days. Very well located hotel (near the river side) with Wi-Fi. It is not luxury but for the price of the room it is enough.

Hotel good value for money

For around 20$ you can find rooms (aircon and hot water) just next to the River Front.
Close to a lot of restaurant, bar and to the night market.
So when you go out you do not need to spend more for Tuk Tuk.
Also some bus station arrive in this area so you can join the hotel by foot.
Restaurant of the hotel is excellent.
Ok the room are not new but the staff keep it clean.
