I got super sick in Siem Reap and am so grateful it was here. These guys were wonderful, it was so clean, and it wasn’t super crowded which made it a great spot to rest and recuperate. A little away from the main strip but well worth it. Still easily accessible, really just across the river. Thank you so so much!

Clean and caring

For a low-priced hostel, I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, security, location and friendliness of the staff.

Each bed in a shared room has its own cubicle isolated by a curtain, and inside there is light, a plug and a wide locker for your things.

They answered all my questions during my stay, and they were careful to inform me when I accidentally took the key to the airport and sent them back with the taxi driver. Before getting on the plane they had already sent a message telling me that everything was fine and I didn't have worry.

impeccable, good location and security

No-frills hostel. Rooms are basically a hallway with beds. Everything is clean, and beds have storage cupboards at the foot, along with nice privacy curtains. The bathroom is fantastic, though. Clean and powerful showers! Better than home! The service was good, too. We ended up canceling our second night unexpectedly, and it was no problem. 

Best Shower in Siem Reap

Dorms: there are two rooms of 8 on the upper floor. I stayed for 3 nights and the bed was very comfy and benefited from practical bits like privacy curtains, a huge locker within the bunk itself big enough for a backpack, light and power socket and extra drawers under the bed.
I had my bed made up and a fresh towel after two nights which was a first for me in a hostel and a nice touch.
There’s two doors into the dorm so you don’t need to disturb your roommates walking up and down to get in and out. 
There’s a verandah/balcony area at the front with some seating but was too hot and prime mozzie territory as it’s opposite the river. There was only two other guests there when I stayed so maybe not the best hostel for socialising. 
The bathrooms were really clean and excellent showers with hot water. 

Location: I thought it might be quite far from the main tourist area but it really wasn’t, a ten min slow walk got me to Pub Street and there’s the Cambodian handmade market on the way before the two footbridges (not shown on the maps so looks further to walk round than it is).
It was very quiet with hardly on traffic and no noise from bars etc.
The only downside was there’s no supermarket anywhere near the hostel and they don’t sell drinks at the hostel.
It shows there is a cafe downstairs but this is now just the reception area and no food/drink on site. Would be good if they had at least soft drinks for sale. 

Staff: the owner was a lovely guy and spoke perfect English. He was really relaxed with check in and payment and gave me a map of the town. There’s a small travel/tours agency office downstairs and can do your trips via them. I arranged a tuktuk via them for Angkor Wat for $15 and the driver was really good. The office and reception does close really early and never saw any staff after 18:00 which is nice you’re left to your own devices but not ideal for late check in or any issues. 

There’s very little I would say needs improvement, only boring things like a bigger bin upstairs as everyone’s water bottles were overflowing and a curtain for the window/door as when the sunrises its really bright even with the bunk curtain closed. Some extra lighting to go upstairs would be good too as it’s really dark at night. Also think $1 towel rental seems a bit silly when other places include it but nothing that would stop me staying again.
