Central Suite Residence

What was good

We stayed at Central for 5 nights in early March2020. We were originally part of a tour group and were staying at the Victoria Angkor, which was further away. At completion of our tour,we moved here. Though different hotels for various reasons, we enjoyed both equally. Upon arrival at Central, we were greeted with cold towels and drinks. Though we were early for our checkin, Mr Story assured us we would have a room in a few minutes. We were easily upgraded from 2twins to 1king. (it's covid19 season).The street was actually torn up for repaving, but did not effect the enjoyment of the hotel. Everything is within walking distance, restaurants, shopping, streetfood, vendors, The staff are very friendly, and able to suggest things to do, things to eat, we were always greeted with cold towels and hellos upon return. The towels were so nice, since it was about 37c everyday we were there. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed, A/C worked fine. The music from around the corner was heard in the wee hours, but did not bother us. Wifi connection was fine, to phones and laptops. Elevator had sanitizer in it. Lobby was nice and inviting. We had breakfast buffet included,which was a great way to start the day. But not required, since everything is available just outside the hotel. The pool area was nice and had a swim up bar with happy hour, the bartenders were great fun. Sun is at a premium as the hotels are all squeezed together, so the sun has to be mostly overhead. The staff, especially Story, made the stay memorable. Always saying hello and wishing us a nice day. They also had free minibus shuttle to airport, plus they sent one of the staff along to point us to the right counter. I would highly recommend, and would choose this hotel again.
