The Oriental is a very nice and immaculately clean hotel in the Center of Siem Reap. Only a 5 min walk away from the vibrating night market and pub street (for those who enjoy places like this) in a very calm and green side street on the other side of the river. 

There is also a couple of kitchens and balconies that are shared between two rooms and unlimited supply of drinking water.

Staff and management provided us with excellent advice for restaurants and bars - you just need to ask.

Additionally Mrs. Van Anh was very helpful and engaged in sending my ID - which I forgot in the hotel - back to my home address.

Calm, central, nice and very helpful hotel in Siem Reap

Stay here for couple of nights.
Nice, quiet and clean place to stay. Very close by market and just steps away to river. They helped me to arrange tours and bus in advance. Make my stay much easier.
Comfotable bed and good AC. Helpful staff. American owner bring me around and helped me seeing doctor. Thank you!

Clean, quiet and comfotable stay

Lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Run by a very friendly Alaskan called Don who has been here for many years. They can arrange cycles (which we did for 2 days to go round the temples), tuktuks, motorbikes, trips. Very nice staff. Be aware that there is no restaurant or bar - but they will put your beer in the fridge! Always plenty of water available, including a large bottle from whcih you can refill your own. Back from the main roads but within easy walking distance of most of the town. You will need transport to the temples - but then so does everywhere else. To be recommended.

Nice, quiet, convenient

We booked this hotel via last minute and were not disappointed. 
Excellent communication from the hotel prior to our arrival. 
Unfortunately we had already booked our transfers to and from the airport (via last minute) as we didn’t know the hotel provided these when we booked. 
This hotel is positioned about 10 minutes away from the noise of pub street which is perfect. We had a huge room with 2 king sized beds and a wet room bathroom which was also huge. The place is spotlessly clean, with drinking water provided and access to a small kitchen (if required). 
Don (the owner) was very helpful in organising/ booking trips and tuk tuks to the temples etc. 
He also suggested a wonderful restaurant for my husband to take me to as it was my ‘big’ birthday whilst we were away and we weren’t disappointed. 
All in all a definite thumbs up to Oriental Siem Reap. 


A little gem

Stayed here with a small group of friends. We were looking for: clean, quiet, unpretentious. We got: spotless, tranquil (rainy season), perfect. We got more than our money's worth in a very good hotel. 

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering assistance with tours or tuktuk bookings, late checkout, planning our trip, etc. 

Walk 200m back to the intersection and there's a great French cafe and "mexican" cafe on the corner. 

We all agreed that *this* would be the hotel of choice, for our next visit to Siem Reap!

perfect boutique hotel!

This is a lovely place to stay. Beautifully decorated giving a real feeling of class. The owners are great and couldn't be more helpful.
There are restaurants and the town within easy walking distance.

We wanted somewhere in Siem Reap a bit further away from the chaos of Pub St. The Oriental fit the bill! Lovely tree lined street that's still an easy walk to everything (including the great food stalls that set up every night just across the river  - recommended!). Huge room with two queen size beds. We used one for sleeping and one for lounging on. Comfy too! The bathroom is huge and the shower very good. Great aircon too. One nice thing we hadn't come across in other hotels - they have a large bottle of drinking water so you can refill your smaller bottles whenever you like. We'd stay here again!

Great location, great hotel

The Oriental has become my 'Go To' accommodation in Siem Reap... following a last-minute let down by my previous favorite.  The guest house is very well located for access to all the top spots and is a very quiet location offering good privacy.  
Van manages the facility with unstinting dedication and is always very welcoming and helpful.  The rooms are very well presented, spotlessly clean with good quality beds, linen and good bathroom layout and services.  The kitchenette, guest seating areas and balconies are well maintained and provided with bulk drinking water for refills.  The quality of provision and the pricing allow me to recommend The Oriental without hesitation.  I will certainly continue booking in whenever I am in Siem Reap.

Super-clean and best value

1. Great value for money；
2. Clean, spacious and well decorated/furnished rooms, which includes everything you could possibly need;
3. Perfect location - roughly a 10 minute walk to pub street, and a 1-2 minute walk away from a great little restaurant called Tevy’s place, and;
4. The BEST thing about this hotel is the lady who runs the place, who provided me - and everyone else who has stayed there - perhaps the best service I’ve ever received at a hotel or hostel - she helped me with absolutely everything... even finding a gym for me which certainly is not her job.

If you’re reading this ma’am, thank you so much for all your help, especially for the circus/play which was an experience I’ll never forget. Best wishes to you.
