We come without reservation, we got the best room in the back bulding, quiet , clean, very big , 2 windovs in the green.Fridge , hot water , spacy shower room . Great price . The best room for small money in 3 weeks in Cambodia !

Good value

I came back to this Guest House because I had stayed there for a few days three years ago, and had found it really good value for money. However, I was rather disappointed that it seems to have gone a bit downhill since then. Room was a fair price (USD8/night for a fan room, which suits me) but the TV was broken, and there was a leaking hose in the toilet/shower so the floor was wet and slimy. I hate that! I don't think the owners are spending money on necessary maintenance to fix the little problems. Another problem (for me) was that somewhere outside there was a karaoke blaring over a loudspeaker until late at night. Not the fault of the Millenium, and presumably this affects all the hotels and GHs within range, but there it is. So stay away from this part of town unless you are going to be out yourself until late (maybe at the karaoke?). 

On the plus side there is a really good bakery shop 5 mins down the road. Everything half price after 6 p.m. On the corner further down the road you can get a good coffee for a dollar. There is a convenience store nearby, and of course plenty of eating places where you can try Khymer dishes (washed down with a 50c glass of local draft beer).

Rather disappointed

Normally I stay in more basic budget accomodation but they were so nice to give me a discount for the room; the room was very nice; big and good bathroom and very clean. The guesthouse is really quiet. The wifi worked very well everywhere. The staff was super friendly; really polite and they cleaned the room every day (wasn't necessary but anyway) Had a great stay here.

After 2 days at place at the end of  Vahear Cham village we came across this hotel offering a room at $8.00 a night  for a twin bedded room & only 5 minutes from the night market / bar street area / Old French Quarter. Accommodation was clean & comfortable with a bargain price thrown in. The staff were helpful & friendly, so much so that we stayed here again on our way back after touring Phnom Penh & Sihanoukville. Restaurants to visit for good local Khymer food and beer at $0.50 cents a glass are The Blue Wave located on Steunt Themei, off Sivatha Rd opposite the Terrasse des Eléphants Hotel. The evening waiter is very friendly & gives excellent service.  
The other restaurant is on Sok San Rd just past Terrasse des Eléphants Hotel, road after Steunt Themui. Sorry I forgot the name but it's more or less opposite a 3 in 1 place called Our Best Western Guesthouse / Angkor Voyage Villa / Jeanies Cafe. About ¾ way down from Sivantha Rd on the left hand side.

Good Value

We were recommended by a friend to stay at the Mandalay Inn across the road but we didn't pre-book and when we arrived it was full. Millennium Guest House was just across the road so we wandered in. We paid $15 a night for a twin room with air conditioning. In hindsight we didn't need the air con as the room had a fan as well. 
The room was basic, 2 large beds, a hanging rail, bedside table and small TV. But that's all we needed! The bathroom was small and we had an issue was the warm water to start with but it was soon solved. The shower was a trickle of water so it took a long time to wash your hair! 
The staff we came across were really friendly and desperate to help you enjoy your time in Siem Reap, we used their tuk tuk driver to take us round the temples on 2 of the days and what we thought was a really reasonable rate. The drivers English wasn't great so if your after a proper tour then book a proper tour guide. 
Overall the staff were friendly and the room was clean and basic, and minutes walk from Pub Street, so easy really if your on a budget.
