If you need an apartment for a longer stay in Sihanoukville, and do not want to be at the beach front this could be a good option. Apartments are a good size with simple self catering facilities. A good fridge freezer, wifi and decent tv channels and comfy furniture. The rooms are serviced once a week and it has a nice pool at the back of the property. Having a generator installed, there is rarely a problem with the power supply. You will pay for the water and electric on top of the rent. ITs location is near to shops and markets and a hospital is just up the road Rooms on the front do get some noise from the road  The staff are very helpful and their English pretty good. A tuk tuk to the beach was about $3.

Good price for longer stay

We had to stay at this hotel for four nights while our friend was in the hospital. It was awful. The rooms are dirty. We found coarse black hair on our pillows and in the bathroom. There are big gatherings of dust in the corners of every room and the blankets which are used as quilts are filthy and stained. You are given one small roll of single ply toilet paper and if you want more you need to go down to the reception desk with the finished roll. The manager terrified both guests and her staff (who called her "Madame") with horrible moodswings. When we asked if it would be possible for us to stay one more night she shouted "70 dollars" repetedly at us and then started shouting at her staff. The day after that she was suddenly all smiles and told us we would get a discount for staying longer and suddenly our $70 room was $40. When we were checking out a member of the staff went up to check our room and was gone for about 20 minutes, knowing our taxi was waiting. He brought back a wheel that he claimed we had broken off from one of the beds. We had definitley not broken this or anything else in a hotel room ever, and the wheel had bits of tape and glue on it meaning it had been broken before which even our taxi-driver pointed out to him. After a long discussion he all of a sudden smiled and said "Okay you can go". It was the worst stay at a hotel that any of us has ever experienced. Do not stay here. 

Leaving this hotel was the happiest part

They have cleaning days two times a week. They will charge 5 dollar if you need cleaning any other day.  But that wasn't the worst. When our two groups was checking out of the hotell. It took them around 50 min to check our two rooms. And they demanded that we should play 12 dollars for two towels with a little dust on them. Something that would've easily been cleaned with an ordinary wash. So basicly: OK hotel for a nights stay, but check out in good time. Because it takes some time. And they might try to make you buy out something that's not even broke or distroyed.

Rooms where OK, same with wifi,  but the service was not too good. 

I inspected the Hotel rooms which are situated in the annex building behind the main building but that was disappointing compared to the apartments.  These are for their 30 US$/day really the big hit!  Spacious, with living room, TV corner, washing machine, fridge (no cooking facilities), spacious bedroom with computer table, cupboards, and a splendid modern and trendy bathroom.  Swimming pool and fitness room (that I didn't visit) available.  Parking (guarded) in front of the building and behind in covered areas.  Discount for over 10 days stay.  Somewhat frustrating that you have to pay your stay in advance but that seems to be the rule in whole Sihanoukville (which I don't believe).

real quality for the price

It was 27.12.14-10.01.15. For 1000 dollars in 15 days in the NG got a 3-bedroom apartment in the center of town with a new laundry room (i.e. you really need 2 shorts) human kitchen (market almost under the window), and bathroom; all 3 condoes are working, bed is huge and convenient; clean, the inner courtyard - parking for bikes. Safe. The room was on the last floor - view of Sianuville and pieces of the sea. Forgot to clean up the safe new sonyway for 3 t.d. Got exactly what was on the photo without any scrolling.

It was the second time.

The hotel was hugely disappointing . The walls in the bedroom were covered in dirt and the sink was blocked. The pool was filthy. The staff were unhelpful. It is a minimum 30min walk from the beach. There are no amenities near. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Dirty, unhelpful

After our bus from Saigon was delayed for six hours, we missed our ferry to Koh Rong and were forced to stay in Sihonoukville. The King Gold proved to be a real lucky catch. The cheapest room for $20 is small, but it has a very good AC, TV, refrigerator, a pressure shower on the line, super fast WiFi and the best: a really soft and comfortable bed.
