This review is based on my stay in a double bedroom at the hotel (the only one available at the time). The room was on a third floor of the building 

Positives at this hotel are the location,  which is in a secure place, plenty of parking and the shower had running hotwater.

Facilities were very basic - bed, wardrobe, used slippers, bathrobe, soap and a tv. 

Bed was very uncomfortable  - the mattress sagging in the middle. The bedding were discoloured  (white which looked more brown than white). It was not clear if the sheets had been washed when we arrived. Sheets did not look ironed either. 

The only option of a bed covering, was a duvet, which was extremely hot at night. No cooling facilities in the bedroom (no air conditioning unit or fan). 

Mosquitoes in the bedroom which meant we spent the night catching mosquitoes than sleeping. No mosquito nets.

TV quality was extremely poor - images blurred

Shower did not drain when used, so wecwere standing in backed up dirty water on the floor whilst showering. 

Sadly, I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone who would like a comfortable stay

Poor facilities

The hotel is very well located, on a hill just above the city center, in a quiet/safe area.
It's a securized place with fences and warden. They propose a lot of "appartments bedrooms" nicely equiped and ± in good maintained conditions. The rooms are cleaned every day.
The main problem seems to be the lack of water: by the time we were there, there was only wanted at the tap and shower only a very few amount of time per day: say, 1h in the morning, 1h in the evening. They explained that the city water network was not working properly and that they have to ask the firework men truck to deliver water... But as far as I can remark, the pressurization system to send the water from the tank to the rooms is always failing....
On the "restaurant" side there is a HUGE problem : No menu available, they only propose the same dishes every day... basically rice with tomato sauce, chicken, steack or fish, and that's it. No cook before 7:30am (not easy when you want to leave early), no cook after 06:00pm... meaning that you cannot even have dinner!
The drink list is ± acceptable.
I would stongly recommend to the managing team to improve the water distrubution system, and to hire a real cook who would be able to offer a better choice of food, also in the evening.
For the time being, I would recommend all new clients to push on that direction towards the management, they are not so far but the "standard" is too low for an hotel. 
Of course, I can understand that using this place as "appartment", the clients who cook on their own could be satisfied, but this was not my case.

Could be far better with few efforts

Friends of ours stayed at the Admiralty and we visited them there. The room was clean, well furnished with a modern fitted kitchen and all mod cons. We also had some drinks at the bar and I managed to have some clothes dry cleaned - they have a fully functional dry cleaning unit so can do it on the premises. The staff and management were very helpful and efficient and nothing is too much trouble for the owner, Richard. Admiralty is located conveniently for downtown Bamenda but in an upscale part of the town where you feel safe and can relax. We will definitely be staying there ourselves on our next visit.
