This hotel is amazing - the location, the hotel itself, and the food. We booked the Glacier View Package including the Skywalk Trip and Icefield Discovery, which meant we were able to do both trips with just the hotel group and nobody else there. The whole experience was great and so well planned - would definitely recommend.

Amazing hotel!

A hotel bang in the middle of the glorious Icefield Parkway with a view of a magnificent glacier - what more could a traveller ask for?! Rooms and facilities were amazing. Easy to do our glacier tour the next day. 

Luxury in top notch location

First everyone was so friendly and helpful. We stayed here on our way to Jasper.  The views were so great and the next morning we went on the glacier adventure with the big wheel trucks.  We ate in the hotel restaurant Chalet.  quick easy food nothing fancy, but was very good.  We sat outside and enjoyed the views as the evening was fantastic!  We  had a room with a loft which we did not need but was the only one room available so it worked.  they were very clean but nothing fancy.  You are paying for the view and it is worth it!

The view was Spatacular!

Too many things to mention. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful allowing us to do an early check-in because we arrived earlier than expected. So a shout out to him for all his help. The location of the hotel is on the top floor of the Glacier tour Centre, living at the edge of the glacier provides a breath-taking view especially sitting in the lounge. The welcome reception was a heart warming surprise. The room was very spacious and clean, the loft gave a bit of privacy. The bathroom was also spacious and well designed and maintained. I'd definitely stay here again next time I visit Banff/Jasper.

Perfect stay

Visited the lodge on the last weekend of the season. They were out of a few items in both restaurants due to the fact that they were closing until spring 2 days later. Modern rooms with all the commodities, very helpful and professional staff. Breathtaking views of the glacier. Great romantic getaway. 

Best view of the Athabasca glacier

I would recommend staying two maybe even three nights, there is so much to do. There are several amazing hikes within short drives, better value than the organised trips as they’re free! highly recommended

wonderful location and resort

Great location, stunning view, cozy lobby and clean room, we had two nights there and wished to stay longer. I loved the coffee a lot! My two kiddos spent a lot of time in the lobby area. This is our favorite stay in the trip. 

I love this place!!

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. Really friendly staff greeted us at reception. There was a welcome cocktail and charcuterie board with cheese, meats, crackers etc to enjoy in the main lounge. The lounge had the most incredible view of the Icefield! I could’ve sat and looked out that amazing window all day. Complimentary coffee machine in the main lounge too. There were also board games to play. The staff lit the fire in the evening, which was lovely. Our room was great - comfy bed with high quality bedding, Nespresso machine and lovely artwork!

Amazing hotel with spectacular views!

Good and nice hotel with very good rooms (if you have view to the Glacier is even better).
Food ok, staff very friendly, reception at night is very nice.
Breakfast buffet is good and worth the price - for dinner there is not that much of a choice and very expensive. However, if you´d like to stay there be quick and make your reservation as there are only 32 rooms available!

Good stay between Jasper and Lake Lousie

Our stay at the Glacier View Lodge was most enjoyable and very unique! The room was beautiful with vaulted ceilings, the welcome drink and charcuterie board were a very nice touch, and the access around the facility in the morning before the crowds made for some great picture-taking.  What a unique place to stay!
