Nothing special here. Room was clean. Partially updated. Bed was comfortable. When we booked the room by phone, we were told that a complimentary breakfast was included. In the room, there is a sign that complimentary breakfast is served between 7 and 10. When we arrived at the breakfast room, nothing was set up. The boy said they didn't set out breakfast that day because they had 'run out of some of the stuff'. Not a big deal (A&W is across the street) but not very professional. For what we paid, I think we could have done better.

I stayed here while on a cross continent motorcycle trip. The room was clean,well maintained and equipped with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever experienced in a rental accomodation. The rooms all have parking directly in front of their doors. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable bed

Easy check-in, clean convenient room with parking at your door. Very basic room but comfortable stay. Wall air conditioner a little noisy. Thisa location is within walking distance of the Surniak Art Gallery and the museum, which are both a delight.

We travel to Assiniboia a few times a year to visit family.  Over the past 3 years we have been staying at the Wheel Inn when we visit.  We have a rescue dog that is easily scared so we try to get the same room so that he is comfortable.  We are always treated with kindness and we find the owner always gracious and accommodating.  The breakfast room is an amazing bonus and we enjoy our stay there every time.

VERY GOOD

Pros: 
-arrived late at night without reservation and we got two rooms, 
-our three dogs were allowed with small fee, 
-bagels and cream cheese in the free breakfast room.
-keurig coffee in room
-no complaints about my noisy children 

Cons:
-room smelled of natural gas a little
-bedding smelled not so fresh
-only everything bagels available 

Basic room, good as cheap, wouldn't stay at again though unless no other choice. 

Pros and cons 

Booked a room here for an employee because the Canalta was full.  I was told by my employee that the place was disgusting with cockroaches in the bathroom.  Also found out later that he was overcharged as well.  I will NOT be sending him nor anyone here ever again.  There are other options in the area.  If the Canalta is full again, I will try out the motel attached to the 121 steakhouse which doesn't look too bad.

Super sweet owners from India it's just that the motel is tired and old. The breakfast is dry cereal or bagels wrapped in saran wrap.
The room felt dirty, when I turned the heat up it stunk the room as if it hadn't been turned on in a while.
The soap and shampoo were basic and didn't lather, probably because of the hard water. 
I didn't want to walk around the room barefooted.

If I was passing through I'd stop in to say hi but I'd stay somewhere else. Sometimes the cheapest place to stay isn't the best option.
