We stayed 6 nights at the motel. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Didn't hear too much noise. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The motel is very well taken care of. We liked staying there and certainly recomment this motel. The motel is located in the village of La Baie Saint-Paul and it is a perfect place from where to visit the region. In the city center there are restaurants, shops, galleries, basically something for everybody.

Perfect motel for our vacations

This is a great place to stop before hitting the fantastic drive to Tadoussac. A charming well maintained and cosy classic motel. Warm efficient welcome and checkout. Great helpful local information. Within easy walking distance of village centre, pubs, restaurants etc. Highly recommended.

Great stop over

We used this motel as home base to explore the Charlevoix region for a week. Pascal was a very accommodating host and the location is excellent. There is a convenience store just across the street which was well supplied with beverages. A very enjoyable stay. 

Great stay

My spouse and his two daughters and I stayed at this motel this past Labour Day weekend as we were in from Southwestern Ontario for a wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay after our long trip. We stayed in the room with the two queen beds and one single, while my in laws stayed in a room with one queen bed and one single bed. The room was spacious, very clean and very comfortable. It was within walking distance to the wedding venue and was a third of the price. It was quiet and the beds were comfy. The small patio area outside was nice to enjoy in the morning. With it's location, we were able to walk around and explore the whole town, including the downtown area along with the main road with all the shops. After spending hours in the car, it was nice to be able to just park it and still enjoy the town. Directly across the road was a small convenience store which worked out perfectly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect little motel

The motel is very clean and nice. The staff/owners are very friendly and helpful. BBQ availables outside. Even if the motel is located on a quite busy street, LOT of trees make it very cosy. Highly recommanded!

Nice motel

Super clean hotel.  Great prices and location.  We stayed here during our ski vacation at Le Massif.  Nice staff that provided us with take away breakfast in the mornings.  Wifi was adequate but not great.  Never a real problem.

Nice Hotel

Great welcome at the reception by the owners of the place; checking-in was a pleasure! The room is exactly as described, comfortable and very clean with its en-suite bathroom. A stone away to the city center and excellent restaurants. 
Recommended!

A pleasant overnight stay

Happened to reach the motel after the check-in hours. The Host Pascal was kind enough to keep the room available and ready to check in. He even insisted to drive safe and the room will available whenever we arrive. We took the large queen bedroom with 2 queen beds and 1 single bed. The room was spacious with a little balcony outside. The bathroom looked modern and very clean. He offered to book the whale watching cruise for us thus saving us time. Overall a nice experience.

Clean Motel and a Nice Host

A comfortable  couple hours  drive from Quebec City is a little town of Baie St. Paul, the beginning of the Charlevoix Region (see my post for "Charlevoix, Quebec Province, Canada").  We spent two nights in Baie St. Paul, in a Motel named Aux Portes Du Soleil.  We selected this Motel because it's inexpensive, and because it  had a room with 3 beds.   (My wife and I were traveling with my sister-in-law, and we're family, so we can sleep three in the same room when necessary, though we prefer the privacy of a suite when we can get it).
This turned out to be a decent motel, well located on a main drag in this small town.  It's definitely nothing fancy, there's no breakfast there, and don't expect toiletries.  It's pretty basic.  But it was very clean, and well maintained, and the beds were comfortable, and we had enough towels.  It had a good heating system (which we needed) and some kind of portable-type air conditioner which we didn't need, but judging by the overall maintenance of the place, I have no doubt the AC would have also worked just fine.   The Wi-Fi was free, and we had a strong signal in the room.  They provided the tiniest,  cutest,  most petite  little bars of soap I've ever seen, so we used our own, which we carry just in case we run into something like that.  The owner could use a little refresher course in "warm & friendly",  but nonetheless  we got what we needed for a very good price, and we enjoyed our stay there, basic as it was.  I recommend this Motel.

A clean, comfortable, basic motel.

The place is in a great location close to downtown.  The host makes you feel very welcome and language between French and English is no problem.  The use of a BBQ facilities is great to sit back and enjoy while having a drink.  The rooms are clean and well maintained.  Would go back here in the future when we return for the fall art festival.
