Totally not for handicapped persons . Parking is approx.500 feet away from hotel. No elevators and 36 steps to 3rd floor. Breakfast is  continental and compares with other hotels. We were greeted by an enraged gentlemen and two security guards when we arrived on site at hotel entrance They blamed us for driving  to the hotel giving us heck because the hotel was in the village. We were first time guest and there were no chains up or signs to prevent us to drive in .We were told severely to get out NOW. I stayed but my wife parked the car in parking lot and joined me at hotel. The reception inside was the same and almost canceled everything but it would have ruined our holiday. The Village itself was good to see but beware of mosquitoes ,they were ferocious .electric scooters available at village entrance but not at hotel. We will never again book at this hotel'  NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

Handicapped People Beware

Everything at Chateau Albert is superb… the awesome staff in period costume, in the setting of "la belle époque" (early 1900s): a free, full and delicious continental breakfast with specialty coffees, and "cretons": and a corner terrasse overlooking the village which had great views and where you chatted with other guests. These are some of the many highlights that come to mind. Some of our fellow guests were there for four nights, some this was their second or third visit. I could go on and on! Your paid entrance to the Village Historique Acadian was included in the package, along with the breakfast, so the actual room was very affordable. A bargain at twice the price, I say!

Reviewing the historic village itself does not belong here, but suffice to say it is a unique and wonderful step back in time as well. 

I enjoyed engaging with the staff everywhere. They so obviously enjoy their role playing. The hotel’s bartender, Eric, fast forwarding to the present, is an opera singer, so he delighted us, upon request, with a wonderful rendition of an old Acadian song his grandmother sang to him. Claude, the “bus” driver is absolutely charm personnified! 

There were so many delightful moments during our one night stay.This kind of stay would make a fabulous wedding or anniversary gift for young couples. 

The peace and quiet-no technology except electricity… makes you pause and reflect, look and listen, immersing yourself in a history that truly is representative of life here in New Brunswick, for Acadians, over one hundred plus years ago. As we say… “Venez nous ouère!”  Come see us!

MEMORABLE STEP BACK IN TIME!

2 nights stay in this amazing spot. We felt like we were on a movie set. So peaceful and quiet.  Staff were so attentive and accommodating.
Enjoying beverages on the terrasse was so pleasant.  Took our breakfast, picnic style at the gazebo, next to the pond and covered bridge, fantastic.  Looking forward to another visit.

Unique experience

Hotel Chateau Albert is situated right in the heart of the Acadian Village and is quiet, peaceful and bucolic. Parking is not a problem, with a buggy provided to transport your luggage from the car park to the hotel (a five-minute walk). The welcome is warm, and the rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. A complimentary bottle of local beer and dried pork, plus tea and coffee are provided. The breakfast (complimentary as well) is full, hearty, and fresh. We were the only ones in the hotel which made the experience very special and the staff very attentive.

Away From It All

We stayed at the Château Albert for 2 nights. It is located on the Acadian Village. It was an amazing experience staying in a hotel from the early 1900’s with all the comforts of home. We sat on the terrace at night to have a glass of wine at the end of the day. 

Amazing Experience 

The hotel is situated in the environment of an acadian village and not only is it located in the touristic site but also styled and operated as an acadian guesthouse. 
The interior as well as the people, from concierge over housekeeping to barkeepers, everything is kept in acadian style. Looking for a socket to load your phone or run the hair dryer can end up in an adventure, as the are hidden to not destroy the illusion.
The illusion is well treated and kept alive by everyone that "lives" in the village. The rooms in the hotels are nice and equipped with everything needed, the breakfast is small but with bread and cakes from the daily production in the tourist sites.
A nice hotel to stay in, when one wants to visit the acadian village and feel old times alive.
One star minus is only for the location, as the bar closes by 8:30pm and beyond that, there is nothing to do but reading a book or sleeping. For entertainment a trip to Caraquet by car is necessary.

Adcadian night in authentic environment

We stayed for only one night and I would have been happy to have stayed there longer.
The hotel is within the Arcadian historic village. It's a unique experience.  The rooms are plain in comparison to modern hotel rooms but they are clean and very comfortable. It's very quiet which is lovely with no tv and other distractions but they do have wifi in the village. The hotel is very nicely decorated in period wall papers and colours.  The bathrooms are not eu suite but are private and we had a great claw foot bath
Breakfast is simple but tasty, with brown bread from their own bakery.
We chatted to some of the other guests and heard the young guy who worked on reception playing the piano.
The entrance ticket for the village was included in the B and B price which was a great deal. We explored the village the next day and it was very interesting. Well worth the visit.

Food is only available until 4pm so eat before you come

On the trip advisor website it makes it look like it is in the village of caraquet and if you put the address in from trip adviser it send you to the wrong place so watch out for this

This hotel is set up to replicate a hotel from the early 1900s. When entering the room, that is exactly what is looks like, but there are a couple of hidden modern things for your comfort. The room does have a shower, ac/heater, fan, wifi, and electrical outlets. Other than that, the room & bathroom look very authentic. We rented a room for 3, we had a queen bed and a cot that folded out. I slept on the cot and found it perfectly comfortable for my night's stay. Also, the hotel has a balcony/covered sitting area off of the 2nd floor that is great for reading, relaxing, or visiting. Continental breakfast offered in the morning consists of toasts & bagels (with many spread options), cereals, boiled eggs, yogurt, cheeses, coffee, milk, and juice.

Neat Experience

What a treat to stay here right in the Acadian village.  The hotel is an exact replica of a1990s hotel complete with period dressed staff. Our room was charming and comfortable and the village was ours to explore both before and after the general public arrived and left   There is no food available on site which is a problem, however we were directed to a restaurant several miles away.  We were under the impression meals were served. A continental breakfast is included. Also note that you have to cart your luggage yourself on Sm carts(that have seen better days) from the parking area to the hotel and then there is no elevator of course. This was a surprise to us as well and something that should be looked at.   In past I read that a model T picked u up for this transport.   Staff were all friendly and helpful.   The bar is very limited and only open till 6pm.   Having said all this, we had an enjoyable and educational time!

Acadian Village stay

Stopped at The Acadien Village last Tuesday, and knowing we were planning on staying  in the area for the night, we were very pleased that they had a vacancy. We stayed in room 11 on the second floor and it was so charming. We didn't have a bathroom in our room, but had our own private one, just out our door and a very short distance down the hall. It was so charming with the claw foot tub and old fashioned toilet with the chain. Our room also had  man and woman's heavy cotton robes to use if we had to "visit" during the night. Loved the antique furniture and the Sears/Roebuck catalogue in our room. Very nice continental breakfast in the morning, before we spent over 5 hours enjoying every minute of the beautiful Acadien Village. Will definitely go back!
