Heart’s Desire is a fabulous place to stay. It was my favourite accommodation in my 4 weeks traveling Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. I stayed here for 4 nights (8-12 July) in the Bay Room. As the name suggests this room has a terrific view of Mahone Bay.  I loved this room. The bed was very comfortable.The bathroom is huge and well appointed and is across the hall which for me was no problem as bathrobes are supplied. (Other rooms do have en-suite’s) 
John and Denise are wonderful hosts. I enjoyed their company immensely. Nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast was spot on everyday.
The house itself is delightful and spotlessly clean. I loved the veranda. It was a great place to catch up with other guests at the end of the day.
Heart’s Desire is in a great location in beautiful Mahone Bay. I enjoyed spending time in this lovely town. There is plenty to do and see. There are lots of nice restaurants and cafes too. 
Go and stay in Mahone Bay at Heart’s Desire. You will love it like I do.

My Favourite  Accommodation

This B&B is right at the end of all the shops on the Main Street which makes it right across from the bay with a lovely view of all the sail boats. We sat on the front porch both morning and evening enjoying the view. Everything in town is walkable & there is a pub very close by. 

Our room was very clean and comfortable with a private en-suite. We had everything we needed. Coffee was served in the morning at 7am in the sitting area outside our room. Breakfast was served each morning in the dining room. 

John and Denise are just delightful. They are so nice and friendly and funny and helpful! If we ever happen upon Mahone Bay again we will definitely stay at Hearts Desire. Thank you John and Denise!  



Most Welcoming B&B

John and Denise are the perfect bed and breakfast hosts.  They provided witty, informative banter (that's the John part) and delicious home baked goodies for breakfast (that's the Denise part).  Our room was well equipped and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom.  The location, in spite of being on the main road of Mahone Bay, is convenient and quiet.  We were there when it was cool and rainy but the large porch would be an enticing place to relax on a warm night.  I would definitely stay there again.

Great hosts, convenient place to stay

The hosts could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming!  Accommodations were very clean, airy and bright. Breakfast was delicious. Great location on the bay with a porch to enjoy it. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. 

Relax with a Great View

The B and B was nice and clean.  We had room the queen size and twin bed- perfect for 2 friends travelling together.  Linens clean and plenty of options if you are a cold sleeper or warm sleeper.  Bed comfy and lots of pillows.   
Bathroom is large and is private, but is across hall from your room.  Bathrobes are provided and very nice towels.  
They hosts were very accommodating and gave great directions and information on places to go.  
We kept windows open as it was warm and upstairs gets warm.  Of note, there is a lot of traffic one the main street that the B&B is on and it is noisy when traffics starts around 6:30 /7 AM.  Trucks must hit a bump in front of house as they made loud noise when passing.  I am not a really light sleeper, but was not able to sleep past 7:15 AM.  The bedroom with window more towards back may have been quieter.  
Breakfast was superb- homemade jams and jellies, breads, and very tasty quiche.
