I can't rave enough about this B&B. The most stunning view. The friendliest hosts. Exceptionally comfortable. Kim and Anne are gracious, helpful, and easygoing. The room is clean comfortable and has a million dollar view. The family of deer that visit everyday are delightful. I never want to leave. 

The Most Gorgeous Place I've ever stayed

The location itself was awesome. We had views of Horseshoe bay, passage island and the west side of vancouver all the way to UBC. This was our first time staying at a b&b and we will never forget it. The whole experience was flawless. We asked if we could have breakfast in the morning the day we arrived and were told it will not be a problem. I drink Chai tea in the morning every day but did not have access to a stove so we asked if it could be made with our ingredients and it was made and served with our breakfast. We checked out at 11am but ended up chatting with Anne her husband and daughter for over an hour. Will definitely be going back to On the Sea B&B.

Spectacular views, location and hosts

Anne of On the Sea was very helpful in exploring available dates for a short-notice weekend away.  The location was perfect for a romantic escape from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver life.  Watching the morning sunrise over the distant mist of the mainland was serene.  We opted for the summer offering of breakfast.  Brunch in the village would have been our plan B.   We'll stay longer next time!

Great short-notice get-away - opted for the crepes!

I came to Bowen Island and despite the rain decided to stay for an extra day and night. I was so fortunate that On the Sea had a room available, and it was exactly what I had hoped for! The hosts were very gracious about letting me drop off my bag before exploring the island during the day; I was able to text with one of the hosts and Kevin was helpful when I arrived. The room itself is very sweet and has *the* greatest view! It was so relaxing to be there, and I'd highly recommend it. I was on a solo trip, but i could see this being a wonderful romantic get away as well.

We found what we were looking for!

Absolutely beautiful view. Our room was clean and bright. 
Our hosts were wonderful. John was happy to provide information on sites to see and places to eat. A perfect balance of friendly interaction and respect for privacy.   
A delicious light breakfast of bagels, cream cheese with local jams and smoothies. Oh! I must add a world class cup of coffee! 
Perfect get away for anyone young or old.

Unpretentious, warm and welcoming

Wonderful visit at On The Sea! I couldn't believe that the views in the photos are actually what you get from your patio. We just sat for hours in front of the ocean talking, reading, and sipping wine (and spotting deer). We didn't want to leave to see the island, we were glad we had. Ann and John were incredibly friendly and welcoming, but we also felt that we had a sense of privacy. They also had the best recommendations for what to see and where to eat on the island, better than Lonely Planet and the island brochure. The entrance to the room is separate (by the side of the home) so you don't feel as though you're bothering anyone and can come and go as you please. Breakfast was delicious and served in a really cute tent at the top of the property privately, overlooking the ocean as well. 
We'll be going back for sure!
Notes: The island is quiet, has some great places to eat, and beautiful natural spots to see and isn't for "going out." This is a perfect place to unplug and unwind. The patio is shared with at most one other couple, but it's very large and we just said hello to each other in passing, didn't feel cramped. They don't process credit cards so it's easier if you withdraw in advance(there are ATMs on the island, however), There is Wifi but the signal was too weak for us for our computer to sense the network. Having said that, we never brought it up with Ann and John because the beauty of the stay is being shielded from day-to-day stresses, so we thought it best. It's easy to use the ferry system to bring your car across. I would recommend it because the walk back from town, while short, is steep.
