I have stayed here before and knew I wasn't in for a 5-star experience....or even a 3-star one, but I needed a cheap place to stay in Paris. It used to be so much better than it is now. I don't know if the owners are different now, or what happened, but these people do not care one bit about their customers. They charge your credit card up front for your entire stay and will not give a discount or refund for any problems that may occur. I stayed at the end of May. The advertise that there's air conditioning. There was no a\c in my room. It wasn't too bad the first night, but in the morning I asked about it and they said they were starting to put them in and I would have one installed that day. I left the room closed up against the heat of the day. When I returned at 1:30am they was no a/c. It being so late I didn't bother them about it then.  In the morning when I was checking out I asked for a discount seeing that they didn't have what they advertised AND didn't provide what they had promised when I asked.  They could not have cared less! They already had my money and would not budge. I asked to speak the to the owner and was told he was at the hospital with a medical emergency. I asked to speak to the person he left in charge and was told there was no such person. They advised me to call the owner at a later date. When I did so, I asked the owner how he was feeling and he gave no indication of having been in the ER the day before.  As I was explaining my situation to him he hung up on me. I will not be staying here again and I don't recommend that you do either.

Over $5,000 of tools missing.  A friend was renovating and unfortunately, he passed away.  All the tools were either sold or kept by the owner.  A signed guitar was switched with a piece of junk guitar. Ear buds missing,  as well as, 90% of his tools.  We arranged to meet a week in advance  to pick up the tools and when we arrived, we were made to wait for 5 hours.  This was a trailer full of renovating tools.

Checked in, card was charged immediately.
Got to room it was pretty gross but I can deal with it for a night.  Smelled of smoke, burn holes in the comforter
Pulled back the sheets - BED BUGS
Went to reception asked for a refund.  Was told no.
Left.  Went to laundry mat and checked into a nice hotel for $10 more.

I really want to rate this place higher but I just can't. It served our group fine because there is an area adjacent to the parking lot, you can all grab some chairs, sit around, have some cocktails, play some tunes, Q a few dogs, etc. Everyone can see their room from here and it is about 20 or 30 steps for you to hit the bathroom if you need to. That is one of the best parts of the place. Being across the street from Camp 31 bbq, is the other great part. 

The rooms were 'sort of' clean. OK, the floors were clean, and the sink and toilets were clean. Our sheets were clean but at least 3 of our groups sheets were dirty. Every bed spread in every room had cigarette hole burns in them. Very bizarre to me that someone would just keep using these bed spreads. Some in our group went out an bought sheets and pillows, perhaps realizing they weren't gonna get much better. Water pressure as has been previously reported can go from a trickle, to something we are all used to. During mornings etc, trickle is what you get. And I mean trickle. Don't even bother getting in the shower. 

The family that runs it are quite nice. I am sure that with a little TLC, this place could garner some better reviews but as my title says, I give this one a pass. 

They did have free wi-fi and a subscription to Netflix too.

The room assigned to us had a musty odor so they gave us another. The second room was very small with no dresser or cabinetry to put anything. The back of the door was filthy as if it had never been cleaned. The thing that really got me was when I went back in to change rooms after the first one, I noticed a sign saying that there was no refunds what so ever. They charge your credit card immediately for all nights that you are staying.   We were not informed of this policy at all. They also said that there was free Netflix but ours didn't work. The said internet was down but it wasn't as I was using it for my pc. We would never stay here again.

Totally Disgusting

Arrived to find the room had already been charged to my credit card. I thought it was just to hold the room. Entered the room and found it extremely hot and the baseboard heater blasting out the heat was told there was no separate room thermostat that it was central heating was told to open the window. The tv didn’t work right no sound but they couldn’t do anything about it. There are many other problems, no ice machine, no pop machine, and the worse part was that nobody cared. Do yourself a favour and stay away.

STAY AWAY

Looking for that small town Motel, this is it.  Price was good, however, it was a small room needing lots of tender loving care.  Good place if your on a tight budget.  No hair dryer or breakfast.  Food was near by.

Budget buster

I wasnt impressed from the moment my husband and I arrived. The office took it upon themselves to put the payment through on my card that morning without my approval. I told them that I would be paying cash and please cancel the payment on my card. 
When we entered the room it wasnt fancy.. but we were fine with that..it is a motel. 
However, the one bed comforter and sheets were stained, the washroom wall and the baseboards were filthy. They hadn't been wiped down in ages. Someone's makeup must have exploded on the one wall and no one had cleaned it up. The water from the sink and when taking a shower had a nasty smell to it. 
I have been in many of motels, hotels and such over my years but this one I'm sorry to say is the worst. Definitely not worth the $79.10 we paid for it. 

One night stay..not impressed!

Davidson Motel stinks like a toilet bowl but their refund policy stinks even more: "You don't need to prepay. However, the property may temporarily hold an amount on the card you provided, just to test your card, and guarantee your booking. This test payment will be returned to you." Well, BS to that!! Right underneath it says: "Low rate - no money back..." What?? Well, I merely entered the lobby to know I did not want to stay in this toilet bowl smelling place. I asked if they were still going to charge me as by this time I realized I had entered a trap. The guy at the counter just kept saying: "Read the policy, read the policy, read the fine print." Fine? There is nothing fine about this place or bookings.com. I will never, ever, use either one and suggest you not only read the fine print but the extra, extra fine print which says: "Ha, ha, I got your $ fool." Sigh.
