Exceptional venue with quality service! Lonny, Brooke and staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for you. Food is fantastic!! Didn't have to lift a finger on our wedding day, such a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere. We couldn't be happier with how our wedding day went.

Wedding of our dreams and more!

We booked A Bear and Bison for our July 2024 wedding. Lonnie, Brooke and the staff truly went above and beyond and made our wedding a truly special and joyous event. Many of our guests remarked that it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. They took care of setting everything up for our ceremony and reception, and made our day a breeze. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and fun to be around. Would 110% recommend!

Spectacular Wedding Experience

I officiated a wedding for family friends on Monday, June 23, 2024.  This is a place you want to have your wedding.  A huge shout out to Brooke, Landon, and the rest of the staff, who worked selflishly to make a special day even more spectacular!  I have never been at a hotel where you truly are the guest and are treated like royalty.  If you are looking at a future wedding, consider checking this place out... you won't be disappointed!

A Wedding in Paradise!

My husband and I had our dream wedding here, which would not have been possible without the amazing Brooke and Lonny!! They are truly the best to work with. We planned with them for a year over email, sent 13 revisions of our wedding document, and countless other 'Just one more question!' emails. They were so patient with us and gave us wonderful advice/ tips! They are excellent communicators.

On the day of the wedding, they were nothing short of perfection. Brooke took care of all of the set up and small details, and adapted to some changes on the fly - really took the stress out of the day! I was impressed by her attention to detail. The day went so smoothly! And Lonny - the food was FANTASTIC! Everyone was raving about the food!! Thank you for taking care of us and ensuring we were all so well-fed during our stay!

Best wedding venue in Canmore

Quiet location and very attentive staff.  We attended as part of a wedding party and the Inn was very accommodating.  Very low key approach to check in and check out but very attentive on all service in between. Out only issue was that the extra night we added to our stay was not priced as the two nights booked for the wedding and reception.

A great Canmore experience

Right on the front of the building you see a sign that says this is listed as one of the "Charming" inns of Alberta. It doesn't lie! The building is a lovely log structure that fits perfectly with the surroundings. The hot tub affords a great view of the "Three Sisters" while a screen of trees affords some privacy from the road. A gourmet breakfast arrives magically at your door at the appointed time with French press coffee. Chef and Innkeeper Lonnie Middleton produces a three course offering that makes you wish he did lunch and dinner too! We didn't get to use the in-suite soaker tub but we have that on our list for the next visit.

"Charming" is only the beginning

We are so happy that we booked our wedding with the Bear & Bison Inn! The venue is beautiful and has so much character, with great views and very comfortable rooms. The food was excellent, especially our wedding meal – everyone loved it! The team was very accommodating of dietary restrictions and really made an effort to make us all feel at home. Brooke was incredibly helpful and organized, and the entire planning process felt seamless and stressfree.

Perfect Family Wedding Venue

Thanks to Lonny, Brooke and the entire staff at Bear and Bison, we were able to have the most magical wedding weekend! From the very beginning, Lonny and Brooke were very helpful, accommodating and provided thorough communication answering all of our questions very promptly. Our wedding weekend was essentially stress free as things had been so well organized by the staff. The venue was beautiful, clean & cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. The food was outstanding the entire weekend, (Lonny is an extremely talented chef!) and many thanks to Brooke for going above and beyond making sure the wedding day went so smoothly! I would highly recommend Bear and Bison to any couple looking for a wedding venue. Thanks to them we have the most amazing memories from our wedding. We cannot wait to come back and visit!! 

The Perfect Wedding Weekend

Recently celebrated our intimate wedding at A Bear and Bison Inn, and it exceeded all expectations. Brooke and Lonny are exceptional coordinators, every detail was perfect, making our day both special and stress-free. The Inn itself is a gem, our room has a stunning view of the Three Sisters mountains, easily accessible for a closer look. The location is fantastic, with a variety of great restaurants nearby. Each morning's delicious breakfast at the Inn was a delightful start to our day. We highly recommend A Bear and Bison Inn for its breathtaking beauty, exceptional planning, and wonderful hospitality. A magical wedding experience

Absolutely LOVED our stay here!

TLDR:  Rooms are very modern, warm, cozy and comfortable; daily delivered breakfast to your room and it's delicious!  The best service at this quaint and cute bed & breakfast!

Loved our room for all the amenities:
**fireplace is perfect for those cold nights
**patio with quiet seating area 
**separated bathroom/sink from shower/bath
**unique shower/jacuzzi tub within the room
**welcome treats at check-in
**robes and towels are plush and soft, excellent quality & very comfortable
**bedding is so comfortable, and pillows are so fluffy!
**bathroom extras (ie q-tips, cotton balls) without the plastic waste (love!)
**3 mirrors in the room
**mini fridge and iron & board
**drinks for purchase with baggies of ice at each level
**coming back to the inn and our room after a long day of activities was just what we needed to relax

Now let's talk about the gourmet breakfast!  Delivered between 8:15-9:30am each morning to your room with orange juice and your choice of coffee/tea in a french press (how fancy).  

The 1st morning, we had an elevated eggs benedict on ciabatta bread, poached egg, bacon, and topped with a delicious mushroom sauce (and plenty of mushrooms).  This was so good; I've never had such a unique take on an eggs benedict.   We also had a side of fruit, and a blueberry and butterscotch chip scone with butter.   Both my partner and I agreed that it was the BEST scone we've ever had, and he does not like scones (they're normally so dry), but this scone was so moist; I could've eaten a few more.  

The 2nd morning, we had a potato topped with cheese, bacon and a sunny-side up egg.  The portions are a perfect size.  Another side of fruit accompanied the meal and just the right amount of oatmeal.  We left every morning feeling full and ready to start the day.  

Since we were here in the winter and doing some hiking, the inn's hot tub was especially nice to relax our muscles, warm up and enjoy the view and winter air.  

They even do weddings here!  (I'm a wedding planner and love the space, can totally see an event here).   It would be so beautiful in both summer AND winter with the view of the mountains and warm rustic venue.  

The team here is super accommodating and helpful.  Breakfast was always served on time, and they were so kind to any of our requests.

Absolutely loved our stay here and would totally come back!  THANK YOU  Bear and Bison Inn for taking care of us!
