Stayed here 1 night stay in June 2020 on our way back from Southern AB back to the OK. The host was the most kind person ever. The rooms are just lovely, super clean and beautifully decorated. It is an older motel with just a handful of rooms, but the insides are really amazing and cozy. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. The only small complaint I have is the smoking gazebo had no light in it at night to even go in the area (it was pitch black-maybe put some solar lights around it?) and also it needs to be cleaned daily. Still a 10/10!

Highly Recommend!!

Not a good place to stay. Bed was Hard as a Rock sleeping was terrible.  Furniture in Room was so low to the Floor it was hard to sit or get up.  The Window Blind was torn and held together with Tape.  No  Ventilation in Room.. no fan in Bathroom.  Microwave would not even Pop Popcorn.   Stay AWAY

Avoid this Place

We were traveling from Sask. to Vancouver Island and just needed a clean room. I like hardwood floors instead of carpet, which they have. The simple pine furniture was perfect. The host was efficient and helpful. We will stay here again.

Comfortable & Clean. Well worth the stay

Stayed here passing through with my kids on a road trip. I forgot my credit card and they let me stay with just the number, not the actual card, so I was very grateful. 

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a clean, welcoming, and comfortable place for me and my two toddlers to stay. 

Upon arrival the host/owner was so sweet and kind with my girls that they kept asking about her for the rest of the night and following day. She gave them bananas and crackers and they were so excited! Lol. 

I will definitely stay here again, every time I need to stay in castlegar. 

Kids loved it!

We stayed three nights here while enjoying the annual festival  and other than not being used to a harder bed than I like, it was a great stay! Close to all amenities, which is a bonus.
Very accommodating owners and a very clean place. 
Would stay again.

Great rate and Clean Rooms!

It’s the middle of summer. It’s Peak season and this place has the best rate in town. Sure, some things could use upgrading but that would increase the rate. Very friendly and attentive people running the place. If you want basic accommodation, conveniently located to the highway, restaurants and shopping, then this is the place. 

Can’t Beat the Rate! 

I made a mistake and booked the wrong date at this hotel at a non refundable rate.  The owner/manager guessed my mistake at 9Pm when I didn't show and phoned me.  Since she gave me a heads up I was able to book another hotel as she was sold out for the night I wanted.  She was able to re sell my room and did not charge me even thought my rate was non refundable.  This type of service goes above and beyond and saved me showing up at a small town at a busy time with no place to stay.  Her good service is reflected in the many positive reviews of her hotel.  We will stay here in the future.
