Stayed here for 1 night in August.  We were scheduled to leave on the ferry to North Sydney, NS the next day.  The accommodation doesn't have a resident host.  Breakfast items are provided.  Guests are required to make their own coffee/breakfast and place dishes/glasses in the dishwasher.  The kitchen and living room are common areas.  A patio is located off the living room.  When we arrived, we chose the blue double room.  It's window had a view of the harbour that the ferry navigates.  It provided a great view of the ferry exiting/arriving.  There is a patio off the living room that is a great place for viewing as well.  The double room was very comfortable.  The bathroom was a little tight but fine for one evening.  Be aware that a horn sounds at the ferry terminal from time to time.  Very loud.  When exiting the driveway, the visibility is somewhat reduced and traffic moves quickly.  Making a left hand turn can be tricky.  Would recommend this location.

Good Overnight Stay Before Ferry Crossing

This B&B is nice and close to the harbour and ferry. When we arrived you walk in and select a room not taken. We picked the front room as you could see the ferry and harbour from our window. The room and bed was comfortable. Nice spacious bathroom. There is a shared kitchen and livingroom. The manager was friendly and informative. She recommended the harbour restaurant which was excellent. Apparently the restaurant did have some issues but with all new staff and cook it's great.
It's a bit noisy with the boat, street traffic and the guests coming and going but that was expected.
Very convenient and the price is right.

Nice and cozy

Nice little B&B that is right above the Ferry port on a hill. Place was clean and neat with harbor views. Close to restaurant right down the road. It offers a free breakfast....but you fix it yourself using the supplies in kitchen...no biggie.
House has a small deck over looking harbor and a nice sitting room.

Nice Small B&B / Close to ferry

We stayed both coming and going. The location is great. The ferry docks are right across the street. Rooms are nice and comfortable. A good assortment of breakfast food is provided and you must make your own breakfast. This did not bother us at all. Price is very good and a good neighborhood restaurant is within walking distance. Parking is off street and free.

Cozy and convenient

We chose this location due to its proximity to the ferry. We rented the upstairs suite, which included two bedrooms and a private bathroom. The rooms and home were well kept and very clean. This is not a traditional B&B, in that you prepare your own continental breakfast. Some of the negatives include the heat, if it's warm/ humid, but they do provide fans. And because you're close to the ferry, you will have to put up with the horn going off throughout the night. With the windows open, the constant traffic noise also makes it hard to sleep. 

Great Location Right off the Ferry

I enjoyed my stay here. It felt like home. Nice view of the ferry coming into port. The continental breakfast suited my needs as I am an early riser and enjoy fixing my own breakfast. It was centrally located and an easy walk to downtown. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I plan on making it my "go to" place every time I take the ferry there.

Comfortable and cozy

We stayed two non-consecutive nights, mainly because of its proximity to the NS/NL ferry.  Both times the room was clean and comfortable, though one of the smallest rooms we've had at an inn.  WIFI was fine.  Be aware there is no t.v. in the room, which was fine with us.  I say it was odd for two main reasons, though.  First, breakfast is do-it-yourself, which is okay, but no one was even on hand to keep coffee going.  It was too awkward to squeeze around a kitchen with 4 other strangers who also didn't know where anything was, and we didn't want to stand there (not room for enough chairs) while the coffee brewed.  We opted for Subway instead.  It was also strange the second time we stayed there because no one was around when we arrived or when we got back from evening activities (around 9:00pm), or the next morning.  I like the independence, but somebody should at least be available during the advertised check-in hours.

Odd System, but Suitable

Nice greeting, nice clean and attractively decorated room . Gathering room .  But breakfast was a negative shock for all of us there. No one was there and it was  a find what's in the refrigerator or cupboard and do what you will with it. Nothing set out or room temperature. Very unfriendly after a nice reception   No note nothing.
