Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the room was nice.  Included a kitchenette with a full-size stove and oven, full-size fridge, and microwave, etc.  Owner seems a bit brusque at times, but suspect this is mostly a language issue.  The couple was friendly, asked to make sure our room was OK, etc.  Good wifi.  Would stay again.

Check in was pain free, the Manager shows you to the room to make sure everything is ok. I think this is because he also cleans the rooms so he's making sure he did clean it.

There are about a dozen units all ground level, no two storey building here. Apparently most of the rooms are smoking rooms so if you don't smoke you may be hard pushed to find a room here.

There is no A/C but there is a huge (6ft) gas/propane heater set into the wall (needed that because it was nasty weather and cold).

There's a fridge/freezer, TV and microwave. For some reason there are a bunch of plates and mugs but no cutlery or pots and pans of stove (odd).

The main room is in serious need of an upgrade, spackle hole filler abounds, the room is painted in 3 different colours (white has about 4 shades). The walls are pretty beaten up and marked. The ceiling has a pre-historic crazy swirl plaster pattern going on that has become more than a dust trap.

The transition between carpet and lino is crying out for an injury as the metal strip has 3 sections and the joints look sharp.

Lino, especially in the bathroom is cracked / missing.

Bathroom  ..  yikes, bath-tub stained and dirty, silicone sealant abounds but inefective, looks like it's been applied with a shovel. Light fixtures are cacked with dust and staining (probably from smoke). I will have a shower but NO bath thanks. Hot water takes an age to get here, must be coming from a mile away (no one else was here when I tried so it's not a limited demand excuse).

Place has a coffee pot, coffee but only one creamer, no sugar and no stir-sticks.

Curtains are drawn closed because the horizontal plastic blinds are bent and twisted.

Bed sheets look clean, duvet not (stained).

All in all, I have been to worse but there are a lot better.

As I said, cheap and 'fairly' clean but at $60 a night better than sleeping in my car.

This is a small, older property with about 15 rooms.  It's very clean, and the manager is very friendly and courteous. The location is quiet (all hotels in this town are on the main street).

The furniture in the room & the building itself is old, which is why it is so inexpensive.  But all the things that matter (beds, linen, Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, new door locks, etc.) are new and proper. If you don't mind the older decor, it's a great place to stay.

Most rooms have kitchenettes, with a full-size fridge & stove.  There is a coffeemaker, but you have to bring your own coffee.  Very close (walking distance) to the A&W, Tim Hortons, etc.

Great value for the money, I would happily return.
