Enjoyed the impeccable accommodations in the Sunset room. Exceeded our expectations. Hosts were engaging and provided a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed direct access to Chesterman's Beach. As St Patrick's day was approaching, we were serenaded to an Irish bagpiper. Saw nighttime frisbee game, sea kayaker, and Beach campfires. So close to Tofino.

To Marc and the crew, thanks heaps for an excellent stay in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

Big clean rooms and a big welcome this is wonderful place to stay in Tofino.

Breakfast was excellent and plenty of variety.  Great coffee and tea also.

For luch and dinner there are a number of places nearby that are easily accessible.

Quiet and friendly place to relax

We stayed here for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. The house is beautiful and is a few steps away from a beautiful beach. We enjoyed sitting watching the waves.
Marc our host was so friendly and knowledgable about the area, he was determined that all guests would get a lot out of their stay.
Breakfast was scrumptious and different every day. We particularly enjoyed chatting with Marc and fellow guests.
We went bear watching, kayaking and trail walking in the area.

A little bit of paradise

Arrived and greeted by someone whose English was very poor so couldn't give us directions of how to drive to somewhere to get a meal. Had to carry own suitcases up two flights of stairs to bedroom. Sign telling us to take shoes off first. Little table and fridge in main entrance hall with kettle and cups on for guests to make their own hot drinks, which looks dreadful as you walk in through the front door. Our bedroom was the Sunset Room which had two upright wooden chairs in it which was hardly suitable for relaxing in to watch the sunset! The breakfasts were good. We left a day early. Very expensive for a very basic boarding house.

Would never stay here again.

A wonderful old house, decorated with great taste. 
The room was overlooking the beach and the ocean, from the property You have direct access to the beach plus a nice spot to relax and for instance watch the sun go down.

Great hideaway with direct ocean access

What a gem to find- our host was so friendly and made us feel so relaxed in this beautiful beach front house.
Our room looked straight out to sea. Lovely walk along the sands and if you’re a surfer it’s perfect for the waves are giant rollers.
Breakfast every morning was a joyous delight to tantalise the taste buds and definitely set you up for the rest of the day.


Total relaxation 

Stayed for three nights ,looked after by Heather,just fantastic.Amazing room(loft),breakfast was a real foody treat,relaxed atmosphere,great walks on beach and surrounding area,beautiful house,lovely garden.

Cant think of any more superlatives

Such a calm relaxing environment.  Heather made lovely breakfast and the most scrumptious choc chip cookies. The house was gorgeous and had huge window to sit and look out to sea. I wasn't convinced about the bath and shower in the same room as the bed or no curtains but that's just the loft room, I didn't see the other rooms. We had great beach view though and star gazing through skylight above bed ( it had an optional blind). Heather gave great directions for things to see on the island and beach walks. Would return.

Beach front location and scrumptious breakfast.

We stayed 3 nights in the Brimar in August. Our room was the loft room, beautiful,massive room with a skylight and a window with a view on the beach. Mark the owner, was the most charming host. Nothing was too much, he is so attentive and helps all his guests to relax, we felt pampered and so well looked after by him. We sat outside on the chairs provided and watched life go by at the beach. The setting at the seaside is breathtaking! Breakfast was a surprise each day, many different courses like: quiche ( light and tasty) and French toast with ricotta and blueberries.No lunch needed after a breakfast made by Mark. We hope to be back one day and enjoy more of this amazing place and the lovely pampering and hospitality.
