Doris was amazing host. We felt as we know her for decades. It feels like home..
We would really like to come back and spent more time with her and her hummingbirds. Bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was clean and neat.

Beautiful place

We stayed at Hummingbird BandB and were impressed with its cleanliness and comfort.  Our room was beautifully appointed, and it's obvious this host is fastidious in having everything spotless and well set up.  Doris is a lovely lady, very engaging, and we enjoyed our morning chat with her as she prepared a great breakfast including granola, eggs, toast, jam, yoghurt and good coffee.  She provided useful information about Clearwater and surrounding sights, which has convinced us to return later this Summer.  Hummingbird was a welcome stopover on our journey from Vancouver too Edmonton. Highly recommended.

Spotless premises, friendly, engaging host

Lovely bed and breakfast in Clearwater. Friendly host, beautiful clean house and delicious breakfasts with fruit, yogurt, eggs and toast. Quiet location and comfy bed. Close to information centre and entrance to Wells Gray Park. Also close to restaurants.

Cosy, comfy B and B

My boyfriend, sister and I recently spent a couple of nights at the Hummingbird and would highly recommend the B&B to other travellers. The owner of the property - Doris - was really lovely and easy going and we enjoyed chatting with her over breakfast. Our rooms and bathroom were spotless and, as someone who is always cold, I particularly appreciated all the fleecey blanket bedding provided! The B&B is a short distance away from Clearwater which makes access to the nearest shops, restaurants and fabulous Wells Gray Provincial Park very easy. Despite arriving much later than we had anticipated, we were welcomed into Doris’ home and made to feel very comfortable/at ease. Many thanks for the great stay!

Home away from hime

Hi Doris, 

Unfortunately, we were not able tom leave a comment earlier. However, we have had an amazing time in Clearwater and surroundings. We were able to spot our 1st black bear, just an hour drive out of Clearwater in Blue River...Stunning...

We have really enjoyed the atmosphere and talks at your place. 

Hopefully, you will have amazing time on your cruise in Europe.

Best spot to start a jouney to see black bears

This B&B is in a private home.  The room was a reasonable size and we had our own bathroom just down the hall.  Our host was not home when we arrived but we had clear instructions of how to locate our room and restaurant suggestions on the dining table.  The bed was very comfortable and the area is residential which made for a quiet night.  The bathroom was spotless with plenty of towels.  There is also a lounge area downstairs if you want to relax outside your room.  Breakfast is served upstairs and was more than adequate to start the day.  We had fresh fruit, toast, eggs and tea and coffee.  Parking is available in the driveway or on the street.  You can walk to the local shops and it is an easy drive to a number of restaurants.  Our host was charming, lovely to chat to in the morning over breakfast.  We would certainly recommend this property.

Great Value

Just stayed here the one night but a lovely and quiet b&b near to wells grey provincial park. Breakfast was very nice and plenty of parking either in the street or drive. Only saw my room so don't know what rest were like but mine was very clean and comfortable.

Lovely wndbquiet

The bedroom was nice, although the height of the bed was quite high. Doris was a very pleasant host and cooked us a wonderful breakfast. The garden is a nice place to sit, or at the patio. The neighborhood is quiet and calm, the grocery store is nearby. 

Cards are not accepted, so visit an ATM prior check out.

Cosy atmosphere

Stayed 1n which was enough.
The room and ensuite were very clean, air con. was appreciated on a hot day, although noisy during the night. The high bed in the room we occupied needs a new mattress & the bathroom towels were very small. Doris was not overly welcoming & does not take credit card. We were not carrying cash on us & had to go out to find an atm. 
There was no tea/coffee in the room & only offered at breakfast. Breakfast was served inside; a cup of tea or coffee, yoghurt, strawberries, toast, jam & eggs. 
It was obvious running a B&B is now too much for the owner, maybe time to retire or take a break.

Not a Great Choice

This was ok, room was nice but very cluttered with nik-naks so difficult to find a space to put anything down.Owner was ok but there was no choice at breakfast, you get two fried eggs & toast whether you like it or not. Was close to the centre of Clearwater but there was little choice of restaurants so would suggest giving this town a miss if you don't need to stop here
